Thinking about the timeline for KCOD has me worried for Amrita. KFOS is set around 80 years before KCOD and there's no way Devdas Doobay is that old.

No way is this guy over 60, which would put Amrita at around 43 at the time of his birth. Technically possible, but very late for a first child unless she has a condition like PCOS or something.

Then there's his younger brother, who appears to be much younger:

Yeah there's no way Amrita is this guys mum. Either Amrita dies after Devdas's birth and they have different mothers or she dies childless and Raj remarries a much younger woman.

The opera they go to this update in TSTCFV is Saint-Saens (pronounced Sanson) opera Samson et Dalila

Here's what it sounds like:

Personally I prefer Mon Coeur s'ouvre a ta voix from the same opera (if you've ever heard the Muse song 'I belong to you' for some reason Matt Bellamy breaks into it halfway through) but this one is also pretty

I played this back in my orchestra days and it's really fun to play!

I do feel kinda victimised by the 'opera is not explicit' comment after having to watch Salome snog (not exaggerating) the severed head of John the Baptist in Richard Strauss's 'Salome', which came out about 20 years before TSTCFV is set

I like her so much. Everything she's been through and she's still compassionate. This update had some good parallels with Eleonor, in some ways they are kindred spirits.

I also like that the 'getting back at Ashriel' scheme wasn't just about (much deserved) revenge but was trying to teach him something and encourage him to be a better person. I hope he learns from it (he'd better)

Unpopular opinion, but I think Amen is to SOTCN what Simon is to Moonborn and Tristan is to 7B; he's a LI but EVERY single other character sprite is more attractive than his

Imagine what we could have had if it weren't for prejudice 😭

I'm really confused about when Shakespeare's Code is supposed to take place. Shakespeare didn't become widely successful until the 1590's, but Robert Dudley died in 1588. Kit Marlow died in 1593 so it must be set before then.

It's giving hints that someone is the son of Henry VIII and there are theories that it's probably Ralph or maybe Edward, but he died in 1547 (and was probably impotent for a while before that) so this son would have to be at least 40.

My top 10(ish) underrated LI's in chronological order

Shino-Odori (Legend of the Willow)

I love it when women are allowed to be weird little freaks. She is glamorous and unsettling and I adore her

2. Liod (Path of the Valkyrie)

Full sprite, because LOOK at her! I want more diverse bodies for LI's please. (Side note: why is it only the female non-white LI's that have prosthetic limbs?)

3. Tate (On Thin Ice)

My beautiful boy. You are the only thing that made OTI almost bearable ❤

4) Bert (Arcanum)

I wasn't active in the fandom when this came out so maybe he wasn't actually under appreciated but I've only seen Liam love since I joined. Bert is one of my favourite LI's in both looks and personality, despite the [REDACTED]

5) D'Mario (The Heart of Trespia)

Doesn't get as much screentime as most of the LI's but that makes sense with the plot and his scenes are lovely and important. I love that the betrothal was suggested as a way to subtly strip power from Ellaire but instead he became her strongest ally and helped her learn how to be a good monarch, even when you're not romancing him.

6) Marcel & Jamie (Theodora)

They are both so gorgeous and I love their personalities. Yeah it's probably too soon for Jamie after her breakup, but she deserves to be treated better and in the good ending she can have a whole life of that with Theo 😭 (I want a Marcel for myself please)

7) Kay Stone (Psi)

Kay is my favourite LI in Psi. I love how he's such a great partner to Lou in the way he always supports her but leaves her to do the things she's capable of without getting in her way. And he adopts the baby 😭 (Dani is great and definitely more underrated but unfortunately she's so sidelined that her route doesn't really appeal to me)

8) Kamal (Kali: Flame of Samsara)

Look. I know. I KNOW. But I have a severe weakness for pretty brown eyes and the Rai family are blessed with incredible genes (Amrita babe I'm so sorry about your husbands terrible eyesight and also everything else about him. Don'tget me wrong, Radha is beautiful but Amrita is STUNNING)

9) Edmund (Shakespeares Code)

By far the superior Ed. He had no history with Ro, but right from the start he showed her so much understanding and compassion. I think he might be the only person in the story who has always accepted her for what and who she is

10) Kenedi & Nahome (Code Blue)

They are both so beautiful and lovely 🥰🥰🥰

I really don't get why some people complain about Gail not being a lesbian and her being with M!Jules. Biphobia aside, you can just... play as F!Jules instead? This is very much a choice that you can make
