After Ludger makes a new pot of soup for Elle, she says that Ludger's soup is good, then has an unused line.

Elle: But… I still like my daddy's soup better.

エル「でも、やっぱり…… やっぱりエルは、パパのスープのが好きだな」

This was kept in the manga adaptation.

TIL from @ofstarsandskies that there is an unused model/texture of Rideaux turning into a Divergence Catalyst, which is visible if Alvin is set to Rideaux's model during the Catalyst!Rowen chapter. i definitely missed that going through files.

the game doesn't really address this so finding that it DID intend on addressing it is pretty neat. maybe we were supposed to see rideaux sacrificed after all?

I have been excited for this for DAYS. Datamining the game’s sound files revealed an alternate version of the Bad Ending.

For reference, bolded are the missing lines from the animated scene:

Ludger, you... You threw away everything for me? But... Bisley’s true goal... So this was all in vain. Ludger... Or maybe... this is the world I wanted too.

Notes: “Tomato sauce pasta” was localised in the English game as “pasta margherita”, and I reused one of Ludger’s grunting clips to fill the pause in Julius’ dialogue at the end, but otherwise all the voice lines after the fade-to-black are unused in-game.

Tools used: aluigi's Xillia QuickBMS script based off of Chrrox's script, Quasi-Detective on Zenhax's BNSF truncation script, NUBExt by manakoAT, foobar3000, vgmstream, Waifu2x GUI, and Yevabeva’s hex editing script.

didn’t know if i should really bother making this edit but mauro did point out there is a really long pause in elle’s response and the unused voice line fits perfectly in it

(for reference, the unused line is “promise me” before elle says “i promise”. cheers, i’ll add that to my interpretation of the story!)

also after victor transforms and the camera cuts to the clouds, there’s voice files for the agents screaming, probably as he murders them all. i didn’t add them back in bc i couldn’t make it sound natural when there’s only two people screaming and there’s like a dozen agents…
