This guy I saw years ago doing beatboxing and an RC-50 loop station. PeteBox is his nickname. Listen to his crazy remix of The Pixies, Where Is My Mind. My Note: The MicroSampler is not a looper, nor does it have a good sequencer - it is a decent and simple sampler - you cannot overdub without resampling. The Kaoss Pad 3 (KP3) is not a sampler, it is an effects processor with 4 sample/loop slots that continuously runs. You cannot overdub without resampling on this either. Your best bet is to get either the Kaossilator Pro (which has 4 slots you can overdub into) or the Boss RC-50, which has 3 slots.
However, the pedal modification is genius. I'm just not sure it's worth me drilling a hole into my microSampler.
