he was up early. always early. he had adjusted QUITE WELL to his time here. he stood outside, gazing out upon the land. he had already fed the horses --- spending a good time with them. he always loved horses. it reminded him of --- head perks as he hears the door behind him. he turns, looking at kate with anticipation of what she could have wanted.

Fighting other shapeshifters was never a fun experience... Especially if they were older, and had less limitations than her, which seemed to be the case with this one. Arrie had no idea where this other shapeshifter came from, or why they were attacking her specifically, but the young mutant was never one to back down from a fight. Probably a bad choice on her part, especially considering that this shapeshifter in particular seemed to have more abilities than she did.
“Do we really have to keep doing this? I have places to be at, y’know.”

What do we have here? A teenager in rush to get ready for her day so she can meet up with her SECRET boyfriend??? You betcha. -- She’d been about five minutes late from curfew last night, which the pair hadn’t time to discuss before Laura rushed to bed, which normally wouldn’t fly but Kate was busy arguing with her “dad” -- or whatever he was to her at this point. Laura knew to expect the backlash, lucky for her, she’s an early riser who not only had gotten a start on her chores but made breakfast: pancakes and of course fresh coffee. “Hey Mom.” she calls while putting the finishing touches to her look as soon as Kate passes by her bathroom. “So I gotta run but-- breakfast is made, there’s coffee and I got an A on my chem paper yaaayyy...”
@rcalmxnstcrs. MOM.
“Hey Mom...” she greets, walking in from the back kitchen doorway. -- She’s wearing a turtleneck ... in Spring. Which might not seem so weird, as she’s crafted it into a slight crop-top, even so. Yes -- she is concealing something that she’d rather her mother not discover. And the makeup wasn’t doing a very good job. “Are you hungry? I brought some pizza...”
@rcalmxnstcrs. mum!!
“--He’s NOT my boy--just. UGH!” she storms into the backyard where the barbeque for the team is afoot. Her mother had been questioning her on the invites -- why Sam wasn’t around. “He’ll be here later, where there’s free food, there’s a tall boy who likes to read and...type.” she mutters with a shrug, tending to the beef.
@rcalmxnstcrs. hockey verse. 🏒
“NO! You’re not hearing me, Mom! I don’t give a flying rat’s ass if I’m grounded until the next century!! I am NOT having dinner with him!”
