What's your favorite color combo?

Even though my favorite color is emerald green, the cohesion of the dust jackets and naked hardcover might just be my new favorite. I'm not generally a purple fan (my school colors from kindergarten through 12th grade were purple and white), but I love this!

The spoiler card art from the September box was sadly not included, but it should be in the October box (which is currently out for delivery as I type this at 9:15 am). I'll post it in my stories (on insta) when I've retrieved it after work.

What's the last piece of media that made you cry?

The last book that made me teary was Ander & Santi Were Here by Jonny Garza Villa. I listened to the audiobook on the way to my parents' house earlier this month, and damn. It's a powerfully emotional read.

What was the last historical fiction and/or romance you read?

I last read A Lady's Guide to Mischief and Mayhem by Manda Collins—I absolutely adored Kate and Andrew!

How cute is this magnet featuring Ben and Phillip from It Takes Two to Tumble by Cat Sebastian?! I don't know the context, but the ducks are precious!

Predictive text is always interesting because I never know what Im going to get.

How gorgeous is this copy of The Basics of Spellcraft by L.C. Mawson? I swear these @rainbowcrate editions keep getting better and better!! I tried something new for showing off this one by using my comics shelf as a backdrop. I think they turned out nicely.

What's a book that has lived rent-free in your head for a good while now?

I received An Unkindness of Ghosts by Rivers Solomon in one of the first (if not the first) PageHabit boxes I ever got in 2017. Before I even joined booksta. My goal for after college was to start reading for pleasure again; AUoG was one of the books I read that first year after graduation and it's stuck with me for the last almost 6 years.

Aster, the MC, is autistic and intersex. I believe their love interest (if you can call him that) is trans, and there's a whole slew of other queer and neurodiverse characters. It's by far one of my favorite sci-fi reads ever.
