it’s probably hard to say that on here, but honestly, you’ve always been such a ray of sunshine on my dash (even if your lydia sometimes isn’t). i don’t see how anyone could hate on you ever because not only are you a genuinely nice person, you’re a fantastic lydia and writer. i always love reading your threads and seeing what shenanigans lydia is getting up to. it’s obvious you care a lot about lydia as a character and the passion you feel for her is there in your writing, whether it’s in threads or drabbles or headcanons. whatever you write, it’s been great seeing your lydia grow into the one she is now and i’m looking forward to seeing more, especially in her dark verse.

vanessa. she’s happen across it in some random way and nina would probably be a bit :/ at first because ‘vanessa you can’t just adopt pets like that??’ but then vanessa would hold it up to her face and nina would have to give in bc cute.

they have a set schedule when nina goes back because she has a pretty busy schedule and that way they can both make sure they have the time to talk to each other and schedule accordingly.

vanessa. she just doesn’t do well with civilized talks about her feelings. they both get pretty heated and stubborn though so it’s not always the worst thing in the world as it lets them both cool down and ideally revisit the topic when they’re less hot-headed.
who stays up way too late binge-watching their favorite shows
they both do. once they’ve started a show on netflix, they have no self-control and will binge the entire season, if it takes them till five in the morning.

vanessa, especially when nina is studying and not paying enough attention to her.

vanessa. honestly, this is why they got fired from washing cars as teenagers. it’s all vanessa’s fault.

nina. vanessa has never done christmas or any other major holiday growing up and is kinda wary of the whole thing due to all the not-so-great memories but she likes nina being so excited about it so she does what she can.
who is more likely to give the silent treatment when they’re mad at the other
they are both so stubborn, they’ll both do it and try to give each other the silent treatment more loudly: walking past each other with their heads held high. making food side by side without talking to each other. changing the tv channel on the other one. eventually someone will run into something or drop something though and the other one will laugh and break the no-speaking rule. after that, they’re usually fine.
who plays with the others’ hair more
both of them and far too much. they both have so much of it, it’s just too tempting.
who is more likely to climb all over the other one when they’re bored
vanessa. when nina’s studying and hasn’t payed enough attention to her in a few hours, she’ll start draping herself across the desk tbh.
who tries to kiss the other as often as they can
they’re both a little shy about it at first but nina gets hooked on the casual kisses first and starts handing them out. vanessa follows suit soon after.
who pouts when the other one tells them to shut the fuck up
both of them. they don’t exactly use those words but vanessa probably tells her to please breathe for ten seconds after nina has been going on about some scientific fact she’s learned about for twenty minutes and nina tells vanessa to calm down when she’s getting pissed at something. they both pout about it.
who initiates the sex and who walks away when the other is riled up
it starts out being vanessa who usually initiates things, though eventually they leel it out. both of them like to walk away to piss the other off but vanessa gets madder about it which means nina does it both more often but also gets away with it less often because vanessa’s not here for that.
who always forgets the umbrella and who holds it when they actually have one
vanessa forgets it and also holds it when they have one. nina somehow seems to always have one handy.
who demands showering first in the mornings
nina. vanessa is fine with it because she hits the snooze button at least five times anyway.

vanessa, when she manages to haul her ass out of bed.

nina is way too hype about rollercoasters and vanessa is kinda scared of them but refuses to admit it which just gets her teased endlessly. they end up just playing the games together because vanessa is storming off towards them anyway. nina wins her a stuffed teddy which also wins vanessa back over. she then suggests she can snuggle it while riding the rollercoaster. vanessa throws the thing at her.
who will text the other one thirty times in a row until they respond
vanessa will text thirty times just sending ‘hey’ if nina isn’t responding. nina will send an actual thirty part story that she’s just thought of because she figures vanessa will just read over it whenever she gets to it.
who always forgets to charge their phone overnight
neither of them. they’re both too attached to their phones to forget to charge them.
who comes up behind the other and slide their hands into their back pockets
vanessa. especially in public tbh.
who tries to get hugs from the other as often as they can
nina is more touchy-feely than vanessa and initiates them more often but vanessa is pretty much always down to cuddle with her so it’s cool.
who is louder and who constantly has the tell the other to be quiet
vanessa. especially when she gets mad. nina also gets heated but keeps it down in public, most of the time. nina telling her to be quiet when she’s mad just makes it worse though so it is not a good time.
“it’s going to drive me insane, you know,” vanessa deadpans as she wrestles
the door to the salon shut and manages to lock up. as far as shifts go, evening
ones are alright. at least it’s not as god damn hot anymore, though she’s not exactly
ecstatic about any shift in this particular job.
with a heavy sigh, she sits down on the steps in front of the store, hands smoothing
down her skirt as he legs stretch out in front of her. “if i have to hear one more story
about who’s supposedly sleeping with whom, i’m actually going to go insane.”
