As Aleyna scarfed down her pancakes lathered in maple syrup and bacon and hash browns, even though it was well past dinner time, she looked up at Juniper before pointing her fork at her friend. "Don't you dare judge me. I decided to go ham at the gym and regretted it almost immediately," Aleyna said, letting out a laugh. "What did you do today? Please tell me it was more exciting than mine was. The store today was practically a ghost town that the owner walked in and just let me and Chowder go earlier than usual. I had to bribe that damn dog with lots of treats because he knew it wasn't our usual time to leave and he didn't want to stand up yet," Aleyna said, voice full of affection for that dog that had been in her life for seven years now.
