Whatever came over him needed to leave immediately. Akaashi wasn’t sure as to what he was doing but he was doing..something, alright.
The two of them had been talked into hanging out with each other since their captains were such good friends. What Bokuto and Kuroo didn’t think of was the fact that both setters were fairly quiet and kept to themselves.
They’d agreed to hang out at a park. Akaashi brought his camera and his cell phone, but nothing else. Kenma seemed to have brought a blanket and a video game. At least they could keep themselves occupied if conversation barely happened.
After sitting in complete silence for about five minutes, Akaashi switched on his camera and played with the settings a bit. He set his lens to manual mode and positioned the viewfinder in front of his eye. He set out to find some object to take a picture of, but nothing interesting came into view until Kenma became a subject. The way the sunlight bounced off of his golden hair brought out his pale features. Huh. Now he sees how “cat-like” he is.
Now adjusting the zoom and focus, Kenma was the focal point, while the background was slightly blurred. With a small click, Akaashi snapped a photo of Nekoma’s setter. Hopefully he didn’t notice.
--He spoke too soon, it seems. Akaashi let his camera fall to his stomach, the strap pressing against the back of his neck a little too hard. This caused him to lean forward a little, though he got very close to Kenma at this point. Huh.
He really did have appealing features. His eyes almost reminded him of his own.
The silence that filled the two of them was rather..awkward. He didn’t know what to do, though his body seemed to act before his mind could.
Akaashi leaned forward, though it seemed he was stopped by the presence of his camera between them. That was..uncomfortable. He looked back up to Kenma before moving his camera out of the way with one hand and cupping his face with the other. His lips gently grazed Kenma’s before fully pressing on.
...And this is where Akaashi’s thoughts catch up to his body’s own actions. Quickly, he pulled away and scooted back, looking in the other direction and clearing his throat.
“Sorry.”
