Anti-Wanda gains these scars (among others) after a would-be assassin shoved her off the Faeheim clouds and into Giant Bucket of Acid World. Anti-Wanda spent six weeks trapped in the spirit world (Plane 23) while her body struggled to regenerate. You can read more about the origins of her scars in the 130 Prompt “You’ll Never Know” (linked below).
Tensions had already been high between Fairies and Anti-Fairies after the theft of Claímh Solais, but the near-assassination is what triggered Anti-Cosmo’s decision to declare war... and thus the May Blossom War began.
Scar Details
Anti-Wanda’s scars are mostly found along her spine and the right side of her body, as it was her right side that hit the acid before she immediately went up in smoke.
Like all mediums of the nature spirits, Anti-Wanda’s magic and blood change color to reflect the mood of the spirit she’s hosting, and NOT the mood of her Fairy counterpart. Her scars act the same way.
Anti-Wanda’s scars also glow in the dark. Fortunately, they’re usually purple at night (neutral / calm), which happens to be the dimmest color.
Additional Damage
Along with these scars, Anti-Wanda’s right ear was badly damaged, as was most of her vision. Her right wing lost almost all its range of motion, putting an end to Anti-Wanda’s extended travel adventures. She’s able to take short trips, but requires much more rest and attention than she used to.
Foop flies into a panic if he hears his mother went outside alone, even for short flights. He’s paranoid that she’ll push her limits and end up weakened and far from home. Say one thing for those scars... They absolutely strengthened the bond between Foop and his mother.

Alignment: True Neutral
MBTI: ENFP
Deadly Sin: Gluttony
Heavenly Virtue: Forgiveness
Love Language: Physical touch
Reinforcers: Not easily swayed by traditional reinforcers like praise, money, status, or sugar; very firm about doing what she feels like (or at least what her husband alone expects of her) and will deliberately do the opposite of what you want if she feels you’re “bribing” her.
That said, she melts over genuine affection from Foop and strives to keep herself approachable for him.
.
History: Anti-Wanda was born in Anti-Fairy World to an anti-fairy father and anti-will o’ the wisp mother (or a “mothdame” as Anti-Fairy society scornfully calls its anti-wisps).
Her mother abandoned both her and her twin sister, Anti-Wendy, in Fairy World at a young age, so the twins were quickly taken in by the Eros family (Cupid’s family) and tossed into the Anti-Fairy exhibit in the Eros menagerie. There, Anti-Wanda met Anti-Juandissimo, was taught a few dances in order to teach “genuine” Anti-Fairy culture to menagerie visitors, and grew up beyond the reach of Anti-Fairy society.
Later in life, Anti-Wanda was released from the Eros Nest and given the Seat of Sky on the camarilla court- much to her confusion, since she had no formal education or political experience at all. Nonetheless, she learned to read and familiarize herself with her birth culture. She participated in the War of the Angels and frequently worked alongside Anti-Cosmo.
After Anti-Cosmo and his first wife separated, Anti-Wanda carefully helped him pick himself up again. Though he made love to her on multiple occasions, he made no attempt to court her officially until a fed-up Anti-Wanda finally asked his mother for permission to court him instead. Though Anti-Cosmo was shocked at this upheaval of Anti-Fairy tradition, her boldness impressed his mother and a dowry was agreed upon. The two were wed and she’s been at Anti-Cosmo’s side ever since.
.
Personality: Whereas Wanda is cautious, thoughtful, and worrying, Anti-Wanda is reckless, courageous, and highly adaptable. Her natural habitat is running headlong into trouble, dragging a terrified Anti-Cosmo after her by the hand. Forward, blunt, and sassy, she speaks her mind and does what she will, always ready to lift her husband when he’s down or knock him down a couple of pegs when cockiness gets to his head.
Though she has no qualms about breaking rules for higher goals (or just for fun), Anti-Wanda is of a neutral alignment. Many Anti-Fairies would struggle with their pride if their leaders asked them to ally sometimes with Pixies or Fairies, but Anti-Wanda is a woman of genuine apologies and forgiveness who would move forward with an alliance for the direct benefits it brings, regardless of bad blood in the past.
Anti-Wanda is a lover of traveling with a passion for art, style, and beauty. While her confidence is admirable, cockiness can fly to her head and lead her to boast about her husband’s accomplishments... sometimes before he’s even accomplished them, leaving Anti-Cosmo struggling to measure up to the high bar she’s set for him (or, on occasion, scrambling to pick himself up after she revealed evil plans to the enemy).
Recklessness, cockiness, and a forward attitude do not a proper Anti-Fairy woman make. Knowing this, Anti-Wanda tries to tone back her natural confidence around those she isn’t familiar with, leaving only her immediate family, the Head Pixie, and the occasional tag-along pixie witness to her playful teasing.
.
Education: Anti-Wanda received no formal education in her youth, which is precisely why Anti-Bryndin targeted her as the next Seat of Sky on his camarilla court (following the death of the former Seat of Sky, Anti-Praxis) when he hoped to build a following of pushover yes-men.
After becoming a member of the camarilla court, Anti-Wanda began teaching herself with books from the Blue Castle library (with help from her boyfriend Anti-Juandissimo). Anti-Cosmo wasn’t living in the Blue Castle at this time, but later in life he became her primary tutor.
Anti-Wanda’s lack of formal education leaves her struggling in Anti-Fairy society. However, she knows quite a bit about horticulture and poetry and has learned politics by experience.
.

.
Goals:
- Keep her husband chill
- Raise kids who won’t destroy the universe
- Win a prize in a cereal box
- Help Foop find a High Countess who can support him as a legal equal
Improve Anti-Fairy World’s attitudes about women
- Pass her knowledge of horticulture to students who’ll appreciate it
- Live this reincarnation cycle to the fullest
- Sammich
.
Beliefs:
- Believes in the Zodii teachings (i.e. reincarnation, fate, evolution)
All things are alive and even inanimate objects ought to be treated with respect
- Fairies are quick to judge and things wouldn’t be so bad if they’d just get to know Anti-Fairy culture a little better
- Her current mission in life is to support her husband by raising their family, soothing him when he stresses out, and gently guiding him back into line
It’s always better to make a new friend than a new enemy
.
Fears:
- Being judged immediately and then tossed aside without a real chance to prove herself
- Her loved ones losing interest in her, whether that’s as a wife, a sister, or a mother. Though she can be forward, Anti-Wanda will fall into a permissive state if pushed too far (in contrast to Wanda flaring up defensively). She’d rather tag along with a struggling smile than face abandonment again
.
Upsets:
- Frustrated if repeatedly ignored by her husband (though she struggles to articulate it to his face and will probably swallow the feelings unless he breaches the subject first).
- Stressed when her family fight; will deliberately knock things over or announce she’s about to do something dangerous just to redirect their attention and cool tempers for a few precious seconds.
- Flustered when her family snap at or try to shoo her off when she’s just trying to help.
- Annoyed if Anti-Cosmo slaps her (especially on the hand when she’s reaching for him or straightening his clothes) and doesn’t apologize
- Saddened by Foop pushing her away
.
Comforts: Willing hugs initiated by someone else, genuine confessions and apologies, a jail cell in the block near her family, the secure feeling she’s welcome at home, that one Anti-Cosmo body pillow-
.
Indulgences: Cigarette-like dosages of sugar powder (but only when her impressionable sons aren’t around to see), a romantic night where she gets to call the shots, and really really good sandwiches.
EXTERNAL
Verbal Notes: Anti-Wanda is more deferent when accompanying her husband in public than she is in private with her family and close friends. She lets Anti-Cosmo speak first and accompanies his comments with her own, but tries not to interject herself into conversation. When she’s playing around with her inner circle, she often tries to get a reaction with jokes and innuendo.
Because of this, Anti-Wanda often seems abrasive and can rub people the wrong way. However, when she has critique to give, she tries to give it gently and indirectly, carefully withholding the full bluntness of her thoughts. She can hold her temper much better than Anti-Cosmo can and is more diplomatic; only rarely does Anti-Wanda raise her voice in anger, and when she does it’s probably directed at someone who’s insulted her family.
She and Anti-Cosmo fight on occasion, usually flinging insults until heated arguments melt into heated passions. Anti-Wanda finds faults in others, even her loved ones, but will avoid bringing these things up unless she has to; she prefers to show her loved ones support and confess any contrary thoughts with her sister.
Traditionally, will o’ the wisps and anti-wisps use “y’all” as both a singular and a plural; due to her anti-fairy heritage, Anti-Wanda was raised treating “y’all” as plural only.
.
Language: Speaks Vatajasa fluently; speaks Snobbish fluently too, but with a strong Atlanta accent (Snobbish is her native tongue, but she was raised to speak Vatajasa and struggles to switch back sometimes).
.
Physical Notes: Anti-Wanda is notably taller than Anti-Cosmo; though the height difference is always obvious, she’s prone to slouching while he keeps himself straight.
Because of her anti-will o’ the wisp heritage, Anti-Wanda’s ears are smaller than usual. Since she shares her wings with the fastest species of bat in the world, in addition to being the medium of the nature spirit of wind and speed, Anti-Wanda is incredibly fast and can easily shave an hour off the time it would take Anti-Cosmo to travel by wing.
Handedness: Right-handed
Body Language: Anti-Wanda keeps her body language naturally closed, usually slouching or otherwise curling in. She tends to slump forward in chairs, fists planted on her cheeks or knees pulled to her chest.
She often folds her arms, hugging her shoulders. Rarely does she stretch out or display openly confident behavior, unless she’s flirting with her husband or deliberately trying to support him when he’s in a slump.
She tends to multi-task, often eating with her feet while keeping her hands free to pick up and look at other things, or wave them around as she talks.
Hair: Her pride and joy; she mixes the style on occasion but always does so with effort and care
Teeth: Large flat fangs, considered unattractive in Anti-Fairy society
Wings: Wings are based on the Mexican free-tailed bat. She has three small punctures near the edge of each wing, mirroring the commitment notches in Wanda’s wings.
Make-Up Products: Wears lipsticks in various shades of blue, occasionally black. Prefers her natural hair color (blue) and finds it strange that Wanda dyes hers.
Iris Virus: Given by Anti-Phillip in the Summer of the Running Yale
Tattoos: Not entirely a tattoo, but several ultraviolet stars can be found along the left side of her neck, down her collar, and across the upper part of her chest. They glow a deep blue in the dark.
Scars: Gashes in the corners of her lips from millennia of navigating around Anti-Cosmo’s sharp fangs. Additionally, Anti-Wanda fell into Giant Bucket of Acid World about 1,500 years post-series; see also, Prompt 92, “You’ll Never Know.”
A ref of her glowing facial scars is provided below. Anti-Wanda carries these scars from “You’ll Never Know” for the rest of her life. You can read more about these scars HERE
Style: Tries to look (and be) ready for anything; always prioritizes her own comfort over society’s expectations if there’s a conflict.
Regular Clothing: Wears a short-sleeved blue or teal shirt with black pants. Often wears boots and a jacket when she goes out traveling.
Casual Clothing: Normally keeps her hair up; often goes barefoot.
Nightwear: Not one for pajamas and sleeps in very little in the Blue Castle (Has husband’s snuggles keep her warm). Wears cotton pajamas while out traveling alone.
Ceremonial Clothing: Loves long gloves and black dresses with spiderweb aesthetic; wears frilly blue clothing if she must wear her zodiac color. Lets her hair down for ceremonial events.
.
Height: 3′8″ (Tall for a fae)
Hygiene: Not the cleanest or most organized High Countess there’s ever been, but Anti-Wanda loves showers. She can and will stay in there for ages and drain all the warm water in the Castle if she isn’t stopped. Though Anti-Cosmo prefers showers on the colder side, he often joins her.
They tend to get carried away with the kissing and flirting until Foop finally pounds on the door to get their attention again.
.
Morning Schedule: Though Anti-Cosmo is rarely awake in time for breakfast in the great hall with the rest of the Blue Castle residents, Anti-Wanda makes a point of being there as often as she can. She’ll wander the tables with her breakfast plate in hand, checking in with her fellow nobles... though if Anti-Cosmo does show up before the meal is over, she’ll sit at the head table with him.
.
Typical Day Schedule: After breakfast, Anti-Wanda will work on a bit of political paperwork (or at least have political memos relayed to her verbally while she spins around in her chair) before taking a break to work in her greenhouse. Foop often joins her (especially in later years). While working with plants, she and Foop often talk about a variety of subjects; Anti-Wanda isn’t one to force conversations and let’s him take the lead if he wants to talk at all.
She’ll take a break for lunch, then check in with her paperwork again (and Anti-Cosmo if she can find him within five minutes of searching). Anti-Cosmo usually confines himself in his office during the day, working busily, so Anti-Wanda is normally the first one approached with political news.
She approves a lot of requests (sometimes to her husband’s chagrin) and tries to handle day-to-day life in the Castle as best as she can.
.
Evening Schedule: When out traveling, Anti-Wanda only spends a few hours flying per day; she doesn’t hurry to her next destination and stops off in most towns to speak with the people there. When she stops in a town or at a colony house, she’ll stay there for the evening to have a meal and will spend the night roosting on a high branch with the local creche father as she’s expected to.
Anti-Cosmo respects her love of traveling and tries not to get antsy about her sleeping beside other males, though some days he can’t help but compare himself and fret about the “hundreds of affairs she’s probably having.”
Mostly, Anti-Wanda stays up late chatting, playing games, enjoying the occasional sugary drink, and just interacting with her subjects in general. Anti-Cosmo prefers handling paperwork and complex political projects back at the Castle while Anti-Wanda prefers checking in with people and gathering information face-to-face. Thus, they balance each other nicely and work well together as High Count and High Countess.
.
Sleep Schedule: Anti-Wanda sleeps best when she’s out traveling and gets to call the shots on her own sleep schedule, whether that means hitting the hay early or staying up way past curfew laughing and chatting with the common people.
Having a hypersexual husband clashes with her sleep schedule at home; Anti-Cosmo has a tendency to shower her with affection whether she’s completely in the mood for it or not, and can easily keep her awake for hours.
They spend nights together often, but Anti-Wanda often tries to sneak into the Castle when she suspects he’s already gone to bed, just to steal at least one good night of sleep at home.
PERSONAL
Relationship Status:
Married to Anti-Cosmo
Wedding Anniversary: October 13th
See also, 130 Prompt 92, “You’ll Never Know”
.
Ideal Relationship: Wants to spend her life with someone playful who will follow through with what they say they’ll do; leaving her hanging unexpectedly and without remorse is unacceptable.
Anti-Cosmo doesn’t always get her jokes (and sometimes finds her an annoying dimwit), and on top of that his divus displacement disorder makes him unpredictable. Anti-Wanda has had her ups and downs with Anti-Cosmo’s mood swings. She prefers consistency, but does her best to be supportive of him.
One thing’s for sure: They have a wild romantic life... Anti-Cosmo allows her to be more experimental than Anti-Juandissimo ever did, and deep down, under all his angry shouts, snarky remarks, and disparaging comments, Anti-Wanda knows her husband loves her passionately. He may be proud, rude, ridiculously ambitious, and hold values that reflect a lifetime of Anti-Fairy society drastically favoring men over women, but when he truly shows her how he feels through touch instead of words, Anti-Wanda feels over the moon.
.
Sexuality: Romantically and sexually attracted to Anti-Fairies.
She’s into weirdos, oddballs, and losers... whatever that means.
.
Attractiveness: By Anti-Fairy standards, Anti-Wanda isn’t highly attractive. Her flexible legs are impressive and admired in a culture that uses feet to hang upside-down and catch fish, but having flat fangs instead of sharp ones indicates lowly anti-will o’ the wisp heritage and is a turn-off to many.
Furthermore, Anti-Wanda’s brazen interjections, struggle to keep up with the complexities of Anti-Fairy culture, sexual innuendo, and resistance to social norms create a picture that doesn’t match the “traditional” Anti-Fairy damsel: a quiet, submissive, and obedient wife who’ll keep her head down and raise her kids under the radar without asking for much.
When Foop causes chaos, it usually reflects badly on Anti-Wanda (and his guilt over ruining her image was one of the reasons he dialed back on evil plans as he got older).
By Fairy standards, Anti-Wanda’s lack of strength (both physical and magical) doesn’t leave her particularly attractive either. Though taller than Anti-Cosmo, she’s still considered fairly weak; most Fairies see her as a flighty pushover and barely register her existence.
Fairies think of the High Count and High Countess as “Anti-Cosmo, leader of the Anti-Fairies” and “Anti-Cosmo’s wife.” Most Fairies don’t know much about Anti-Wanda and don’t really care to. The majority of Pixies consider Anti-Wanda a better political leader than Anti-Cosmo thanks to her emotional stability- definitely an attractive quality in Pixie culture.
- Fairies may view Anti-Cosmo as the leader of the Anti-Fairies, but Pixies are more likely to seek out Anti-Wanda when something politically important occurs out of fear that unpredictable Anti-Cosmo won’t be in the right state of mind.
- One thing’s for sure... everyone fears Anti-Cosmo and Foop too much to ever truly hurt, kidnap, threaten, or attempt an affair with Anti-Wanda.
.
Intimate History: Regular sociosexual interaction with fellow Anti-Fairies. Considers her first “real” sexual experience to be with Anti-Juandissimo, whom she dated for most of her life. Though she’s since cut romantic ties with her ex, she’d still like to repair their friendship... as soon as he comes back for her. He will! Any day now...
Passed the iris virus to both Anti-Juandissimo (Intimately) and Anti-Sanderson (Ceremonially).
Faithful to Anti-Cosmo since marriage (despite Anti-Cosmo’s frequent breakdowns and accusations that she’s cheating on him... or the fact that she once briefly married another man for political reasons).
See also, “You’ll Never Know.”
.
Turn-Ons: Anti-Wanda has the occasional crush, but she doesn’t admit it easily (even to herself). The pressures of Anti-Fairy culture (plus the fact that the fairy baby ban was only enforced on drake reproductive systems, not damsels) left her hesitating over her romantic options as a young adult. Although she was fond of Anti-Cosmo it wasn’t acceptable for her to reach out to him until he made a move first, and that man would not make a move.
Anti-Wanda likes stability, and when date plans are made, she loathes them veering into the unknown. Despite Anti-Cosmo’s mood swings, there’s consistency in the way he’ll always return to her in the end.
Snuggling up to her husband while he whispers poetry in her ear is an absolute turn-on, though she lacks confidence in her ability to impress his intelligence herself and prefers to engage with physical play instead.
.
Kiff-Tie: Anti-Wanda currently hosts the nature spirit Prince Monday (“Munn”), the zodiac spirit who wields control over sky.
-> Anti-Westley (Talon) is in there too; Anti-Wanda, Anti-Cosmo, and H.P. raised him together (though Talon doesn’t accept Anti-Wanda as a parental figure)
.
Celebrity Crushes: Elvis
Current Love Interest: Anti-Cosmo
Nature Spirits: Anti-Wanda is also referred to as “Munn’s champion” as she is medium for Prince Monday, the zodiac spirit of water, focus, and agility. They share a physical, mental, and magical bond known as a kiff-tie. This means that whenever Anti-Wanda sees, smells, touches, tastes, or hears a thing, Munn can also sense that thing.
Though the two cannot communicate telepathically, Anti-Wanda can generally get an idea of Munn’s desires since she can feel the spirit’s emotions.
Munn is very easy-going and doesn’t usually try to guide Anti-Wanda in any particular direction, unless he’s really excited about some cool activity he wants to participate in. He loves parties.
Munn cannot take over Anti-Wanda’s body unless Anti-Wanda freely offers it to him and cannot use any of his nature spirit magic unless in harmony with his medium.
Since Anti-Wanda and Munn are on good terms, Anti-Wanda can use a lot of wind-based nature powers without needing a wand. She is very fast and difficult to catch if she doesn’t want to be
.
Other Important Relationships: Considers Wanda her cousin and Poof her nephew. Good friends with the Head Pixie and the two often engage in playful banter. Closer with Foop and Hiccup than Anti-Cosmo is; both children love their mother dearly and share their innermost feelings with her.
Cares a lot for Anti-Cosmo’s ex-heir Talon, even though Talon rejects her as a mother figure and snaps at her about preferring Anti-Cosmo’s ex-wife (Anti-Saffron) in his instead.
Anti-Wanda’s relationship with Anti-Saffron is curtly polite but often tense, and the two blatantly stay out of each other’s way any time Anti-Cosmo brings his whole family together for certain ceremonies.
Rumors float around Anti-Fairy World that the black-haired damsel is Foop’s true mother, and Anti-Wanda bitterly wonders if Anti-Cosmo still fantasizes more about his first wife than about her.
Aside from rumors of Foop’s legitimacy, Anti-Wanda is highly respected by the Anti-Fairy public because she doesn’t place herself above them unless using her position to help; she travels often and socializes with the people, getting to know and understand them intimately, and Anti-Fairies love her for that.
Has a positive relationship with Anti-Cosmo’s mom, who adores her.
Family is incredibly important to Anti-Wanda, though she tries hard not to play favorites between her boys. A family that tears each other apart every time they meet is preferable to a family that refuses to meet at all. And after her own mother ditched her... why would she ever cut ties with hers, no matter how cruel they can be?
TRIVIA
- As High Countess, she owns an official stamp that she uses to approve important documents. It also functions as a credit card. The stamp is identical to Anti-Cosmo’s since they’re legally equals, but Anti-Wanda uses pink ink whereas Anti-Cosmo uses green.
- Venus was Wanda’s early concept name; it was confirmed as her middle name in “77 Secrets of The Fairly OddParents.”
- Has a tendency to zone out during long conversations; has trouble sitting still and will only force herself to do it if Anti-Cosmo is also struggling to sit still. She’ll take one for the team and try harder to listen while he gets up; sometimes she and Anti-Cosmo switch off during meetings, taking notes on the same parchment when the other leaves.
- Happy to share her thoughts aloud, but is extremely closeted about her genuine feelings; even Anti-Cosmo and Foop have an extremely difficult time prying them out of her. Feeling guilty about adding her own problems to the struggles her boys face, she’s more likely to share her struggles with her twin sister, Anti-Wendy.
- Went through an “overly social goth phase” in her teens.
- Has an extremely long tongue pierced with several studs in the back.
Anti-Wanda doesn’t anger easily, so when she does, everyone snaps to instant attention because they know they did a Big Wrong.
- Doesn’t take things too seriously; insult her to her face and she’ll pretend to be shocked you were flirting with her.
- Anti-Wanda considers H.P. a close friend, and if you laid her feelings side by side with Anti-Cosmo’s, she’d arguably feel closer to the pixie. He has his dry sass and she has her innuendo; H.P. bounces his playful banter off Anti-Wanda when she’s around because Anti-Cosmo takes it too personally.
- But, they only get along so well because they don’t have to live in the same household and her messiness doesn’t clutter his neat freak lifestyle.
- Wears the jacket when she travels; it’s normally off when she’s at home.
- Smokes sugar powder, but makes an effort not to do so in front of Foop (“No Absolutes”)
- Her hidden talents are running, ice skating, and ballet. She’s incredibly flexible and has excellent control over her legs.
- As of “Bells On Bats’ Tails,” she’s the undefeated champion of a dogsled race called the Skycolour 12 times running (A race where Fae shapeshift into dogs, usually pulling godkids).

A guide to Anti-Fairy colony terminology and social rules.
This post discusses non-human Anti-Fairy society, which places value in things - including relationships - that are "opposite" of what we might consider safe or moral today. As always, this worldbuilding is fictional and should not be held up as a positive role model for humans.

BASICS
It should come as no surprise that Anti-Fairies, being bat people, live in colonies. Some travel, others stay still, and some are divided into categories such as unmarried or nursing individuals. We cover them all below!
Subcultures may vary, but traditionally, damsels can speak to other Anti-Fairies, but are forbidden to speak directly to all but the lowest-ranked Fairies.
Colonies share the creche father's family name.
Anti-Fairy society as a whole welcomes same-sex couples. They're all about living freely and partnering with whomever you like- They cannot become pregnant until their Fairy counterparts do, and it's expected someday, most people will experience the honey-lock instinct and mate with a potential stranger... possibly becoming pregnant in the process. Since the Fairies pull the puppet strings, why not live your own life wherever you can?
Honey-lock: The flood of hormones that hits an Anti-Fairy pair 3 months after their counterparts mate, driving them to find each other and mate in response).
Anti-Fairy society is very patriarchal- It always has been and likely will be far into the future. Colonies are headed by a drake - the creche father - whose duty is to look after the damsels and pups born into his colony.
Drake and damsel are gendered terms for fae
The creche father speaks for his colony. Where Fairy society is big on honesty, straightforward communication, and occasional fights to the death, Anti-Fairy society is a game of mind and politeness, not brute strength. They consider direct confrontation rude, so most avoid it when possible. Instead, low-rank Anti-Fairies will convey their feelings to more dominant members (such as a creche father or parent), who then convey that message to another individual- Likely the creche father or parent of the offender.
Anti-Fairy society draws inspiration not just from bats, but also bonobos- A social species known for turning to their mothers for education, matchmaking, and protection.
This plays into many Anti-Fairies growing up with their mothers rather than fathers. Some fathers raise the children they sire, but in a society where mating and pregnancy lie with the whims of your Fairy counterpart, families are complicated. Most children are raised by the mother and those she lives with, which may or may not include the biological sire.
In turn, children born into a drake's existing marriage - As in, those born to a damsel he's married to - are legally his to raise, whether or not he sired them.
Ex: Anti-Cosmo was born into the marriage of his mother and her legal partner, who was not his sire. Foop was born into the marriage of two honey-lock partners (Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda).
TYPES OF COLONIES
Live Colony - Any colony that regularly travels the land. Most colonies fall into this category.
The term "traveling colony" is also valid, but less common.
Standing Colony - Any colony that does not regularly travel the land. The Blue Castle colony is a prime example- They stay near the government building (which was once a place of study akin to an abbey or monestary before it was repurposed).
Colonies in the Eros Nest likewise do not travel.
Half Rotation - Any colony that restricts mating choice to a few dominant individuals ("Mating" refers to mating outside the honey-lock).
In other words, it is NOT socially acceptable for servants or damsels to initiate interest in mating; they're expected to be submissive to high-ranked individuals. Traditionally, the Blue Castle is a standing colony in half rotation.
In most half rotation colonies, unmarried individuals are expected to reciprocate if approached. Rejecting the creche father is a very tense gray area; do so at your own risk. Legal marriage to another individual provides a social safety blanket where rejecting another's advances is much more acceptable.
Full Rotation - Any colony that permits all individuals to mate with any colony member of their choosing (with consent). In other words, it IS socially acceptable for servants and damsels to initiate interest.
Joining rotation as a damsel is opt-in. It is always socially acceptable to refuse in a full rotation colony.
The above four labels are applied to the following three colony types. For instance, you would describe a colony as “a full rotation traditional colony” or “a standing nursing colony.”
Traditional Colony - A colony headed by a creche father, who has a follower drake and either a king or queen (Ruling partner). Beyond the follower drake and a possible king, additional drakes are uncommon.
The majority of the colony consists of damsels. Unmarried damsels "belong" to the creche father; damsels are either in half or full rotation. Traditionally, only the creche father mates with the damsels in his colony- The follower drake is encouraged to slip away and mate with damsels (or drakes) of other colonies. Much less tension with the people you live with that way.
Anti-Fairy births are biased in favor of damsels (with a roughly 75%-25% split).
As a stereotype, creche fathers with fruit bat heritage are more welcoming of low-rank drakes. Creche fathers without fruit bat heritage are more likely to drive rival males from the colony, forcing them to join or form bachelor colonies instead.
Traditional colonies range in size, but you can expect them to fall between 8 and 200 individuals. Some colonies may be even smaller, especially if led by a less experienced creche father.
Bachelor Colony - A colony consisting only of unpartnered drakes (or drakes in long-distance relationships who have not physically settled down) - usually young - who travel together.
It’s rare for an Anti-Fairy drake to go their whole life without joining a bachelor colony. In fact, many subcultures consider such travel to be a rite of passage and/or an important stage of life and growth. If you hope to impress a mate, having travel and personal caretaking experience looks better on you than staying with your birth colony long-term... especially if you still live with Mama.
Some drakes may never settle with a non-bachelor colony. Bachelor colonies are constantly in motion; they are always live and only settle in one spot if there are only two or three individuals.
Bachelor colonies usually have 8 to 20 individuals, but groups of about 5 aren't uncommon. A colony can have as few as 2 members and still be considered a colony.
Nursing Colony - A colony consisting only of damsels, usually ones with young pups and no mate to help them. Such colonies are rare since Anti-Fairy society frowns on damsels who travel without a creche father; society encourages them to join a drake-headed colony as soon as possible. After all, they're not equipped to look after themselves!
Young damsels may travel together even when not nursing pups. If so, they're still categorized as a nursing colony... implication being it's expected at least one of them will have a baby soon enough.
Nursing colonies aren't as common in modern times as they were a few generations back, but they do exist. They most likely have between 5 and 20 damsels in their ranks.

COLONY RANKS
The Creche Father - Head of an Anti-Fairy colony; often addressed as "Father" by those within the colony, though this isn't required (and some prefer personal names). If you have a favor to ask - or are here to visit someone - you should speak to the creche father so he can assess you before you go about your business. Beelining for someone else first will cause immediate tension in the colony, even if they're a relative.
The High Count is always creche father of the Blue Castle colony. The Blue Castle is a government building, so the titles go hand in hand.
- High Count Anti-Bryndin - Pictured at top with H.P. - was succeeded by High Count Anti-Cosmo. Foop is studying to take over after his father (and will presumably adopt the name High Count Anti-Poof).
- Prior Foop's birth, Anti-Cosmo's heir presumptive was Talon Anti-Lunifly, who would've gone on to be High Count Anti-Westley.
- Foop's inheritance is not assured. He's kept in check by the threat of losing his inheritance... Most probably, to his younger brother Smoky (Anti-Dusty). He also has several second cousins who could take over as well.
It's the creche father's duty to watch over his colony: he settles disputes, organizes meals, chooses travel routes, and leads the colony to mingle with others during migration season.
Being a sociosexual species (like bonobos), Anti-Fairies often soothe each other with physical touch (Like hugs, nuzzling, or touching a leg under the table). It's widely inappropriate for most to use violence directly towards another person.
However, the creche father has a little more leeway when it comes to keeping the colony in line. Cuffing someone behind the wings or head is common, with nipping someone's wing or ear (with fangs) slightly more dramatic. Full-on violence is still rare even for a creche father, but they're expected to defend themselves - and those in their care - in a magical fight if required to do so.
He's expected to raise any pups in the colony with the same care he would as if they're his own... or perhaps as a third parent rather than a second, depending on how many people are involved in the pup's direct care.
The creche father has the right to mate with all drakes and damsels in his colony, with individual colonies outlining their own rules for opt-in and opt-out. While full rotation colonies can reject advances with little concern, it is not socially acceptable to reject the creche father if he initiates in a half rotation colony- You're his. Is that how you react to someone who takes such good care of you?
It’s also not acceptable to initiate towards the creche father... He is, after all, the most dominant individual in the colony.
Traditions are more lax in very small colonies with only a handful of members. In large colonies, traditions are expectations.
The Colony King / Queen - The king or queen is the officially acknowledged mate or ruling partner of the creche father- Presumably a legally married one, though unmarried partners are acceptable.
The king or queen may have special privileges such as emotional intimacy as well as minor responsibilities such as assisting their partner. However, they do not speak for the colony and are not held to the same expectations of duty that a creche father is.
King and queen are not royal titles. They are not inherited by birth and they do not outrank the High Count or High Countess titles- They simply indicate partnership with the creche father.
- High Countess Anti-Wanda is queen of the Blue Castle colony. During Anti-Cosmo's mysterious disappearance in "You'll Never Know," she chose a new king to rule beside until his return.
- Throughout Cloudlands AU works, Foop waffles between whether he should select a king or queen as his ruling partner, as he's more interested in finding someone skilled in politics or colony management than an intimate partner to rule beside... He has his mistress Anti-Marigold for that.
- In the one-shot "No Absolutes," Anti-Wanda asked Anti-Cosmo if he'd put the pups under his care to bed. Anti-Cosmo protested that their mothers could do that; after all, he was busy.
Towards the end of that 'fic, Anti-Cosmo complained that the pups and many other members of the Blue Castle colony like Anti-Wanda more than him. While she may not be held to the same parental expectations, she tends to play the role better than the easily distracted Anti-Cosmo.
The Follower Drake - The follower drake is a single high-ranking male just below the creche father in authority. His role is to assist and support the creche father, especially if the creche father has no king or queen. Drakes are often shooed out of colonies due to rivalry, but the follower drake is protected from that fate and permitted to stay.
While the creche father is expected to look after young pups, the follower drake is expected to teach young juveniles life skills (such as hunting, cooking, reading, bathing on their own, or spreading bad luck). This frees up the creche father so he can continue managing the colony, but he's likely bonded close enough with the pups that they respect him.
- In Anti-Cosmo's youth, High Count Anti-Bryndin chose Anti-Buster as his follower drake.
- Anti-Cosmo later climbed the ranks and was named the follower himself (under the special title First General in the Blue Castle colony).
- High Count Anti-Cosmo's follower drake is his cousin, Anti-Poof Anti-Everwish.
The follower drake does NOT have the right to mate with the drakes and damsels of the colony except their honey-lock partner. However, some colonies may be more lenient with this tradition than others. When colonies mingle, follower drakes will often flirt with members of another colony under the rival creche father’s nose.
A creche father and follower drake may be intimate or non-intimate partners; relationships vary between colonies. However, someone who is treated like a mate is likely to be ranked a king, not a follower.
The position of follower drake usually requires experience with a colony. Not necessarily - After all, some drakes become creche fathers by simply starting their own colony - but a follower drake is likely the most experienced drake in the flock (barring the creche father), which reduces infighting.
Ranking Drakes - Drakes that hold high rank and are not chased out of the colony by the creche father. This is much more common in standing colonies than live colonies.
Ranking drakes are often school students, scholars, aristocrats, or politicians. Anti-Fairy World highly values architects as well as demon summoners. Mediums to the nature spirits are also people you may not want to shoo off.
The honey-lock partner of a high-ranking Anti-Fairy within the colony might be considered a ranking drake as well. If Foop joined a bachelor colony, he'd likely not be chased out because he's considered an aristocrat.
Ranking drakes are likely older or more experienced than serving drakes.
Claimed Damsels - Legally married damsels who will follow their mates to other colonies. Marriage shifts responsibility for their care to their partner and thus, they can freely withhold the "benefits" of caretaking - i.e. the sex - from their creche father.
Many damsels look forward to marriage due to many legal protections and opportunities within Anti-Fairy society.
However, rejecting a very high-ranking creche father (like the High Count) is still a wobbly gray area. Such is Anti-Fairy life.
Damsels in Rotation - Damsels the creche father permits others to mate with. They may be offered to creche fathers (or follower drakes) of other colonies as a gesture of peace and goodwill.
Consent and rejection may be socially acceptable in some cases, but cause tension in others.
A damsel living with a creche father she's related to is most likely in rotation and avoiding the creche father's advances. What's mating on rare occasion with a foreign drake in return for living in a colony where you won't be pressured into sex on the regular?
Unclaimed Damsels - Unmarried damsels of any age who stay with their birth colony (or similar caretaking colony) if their family and/or mate leave. When they come of age, they become the creche father’s concubines by default. It is usually not acceptable for anyone besides the creche father to mate with them.
- Technically, a dame named Anti-Scarlett is classed as Anti-Cosmo's concubine for one simple reason: she's unmarried and lives at the Blue Castle (for her job in politics). On paper, she's under Anti-Cosmo's care and he helps with her kids.
- All other damsels on the camarilla are married (See Modern Camarilla Court).
Serving Drakes - Drakes who aren't chased from a colony, but don't hold high rank. Instead, they provide services such as childcare and food preparation. Such drakes are more common in standing colonies, but not unheard of in live colonies.
Generally, serving drakes end up in this position because they came of age to leave with a bachelor colony, but never did.
Serving drakes are the lowest-ranked individuals. They aren't typecast for any specific reason- they just didn't leave and are given the chance to pull their weight if they want to stay. In return for the food, shelter, socialization, and care they receive from the creche father, serving drakes are forbidden from mating with the colony's damsels.
Anti-Cosmo's father was a serving drake in the Blue Castle colony.
Some drakes prefer the serving lifestyle as it's low-risk and doesn't require thinking much for yourself. Other drakes are eager to start their own colony. Some do start their own while others may opt to serve for a time so they can see how a colony works in practice before setting off on their own.
Colonies with experienced members are usually more stable than those comprised of inexperienced members.
Anti-Coppertalon family tree (via GenoPro); click to enlarge
- Anti-Ember was High Countess of the Anti-Fairies during the War of the Sunset Divide, ruling with her husband Anti-Henrie.
- Anti-Ember’s firstborn, Anti-Dusty Jr., was passed over for inheritance because he was born with red eyes. He was pushed into obscurity and his half-brother Anti-Bryndin was raised as High Count instead.
- As a result, Anti-Dusty Jr.’s entire branch of the family tree was concealed from the Anti-Fairy public (until Anti-Cosmo brought it to light). If he’d become High Count, Anti-Wanda would have been his successor.
- Anti-Kylia dumped Anti-Wanda and Anti-Wendy in Fairy World without informing their father. Devastated, Anti-Dusty took his nephew (Anti-Kanin) under his wing instead, since his mother didn’t care for him.
- Anti-Elina is Anti-Bryndin’s High Countess and first wife. His Fairy counterpart had two kids with Zoe Snowbeam, but Anti-Bryndin has no emotional connection to her Anti-Fairy counterpart.
- Anti-Cosmo’s mother is Anti-Bryndin’s third wife. He fell for her when she beat him in a jousting match and they married when she was pregnant with Anti-Robin Jr. Anti-Bryndin passed the color-eye virus to her and she passed it to her sons at birth.
- Anti-Cosmo grew up an honorary member of the Anti-Coppertalon family. By birth he received some cool privileges (like a nice place to live and automatic membership to the most prestigious gentlemen’s club in Anti-Fairy World). However, he never had a close relationship with Anti-Bryndin and never believed the Anti-Coppertalon name applied to him. He sees himself as “My mother’s son” but not so much “Anti-Bryndin’s child.”
- In the Fairy legal system, Anti-Cosmo would have been considered Anti-Bryndin’s stepson (and, after his brother ran away from home, first in line to be the next High Count). In the Anti-Fairy legal system, he was considered a noble and not remotely in line for the throne.
- If Anti-Cosmo had not overthrown the Anti-Coppertalon family, Anti-Phillip would have been the next High Count. He likely would have asked his sister, Anti-Stacey, to rule alongside him as High Countess.

Bio: Anti-Cosmo grew up in the Blue Castle (just a short flight from Anti-Fairy World’s capital city) as one of approximately 250 Anti-Fairies in the Anti-Coppertalon colony, where he was raised as the stepson of High Count Anti-Bryndin. Anti-Cosmo’s father wasn’t part of his life, and his older brother tried to shield him from their mother as much as possible. As a child, Anti-Cosmo was betrothed to a damsel named Anti-Saffron, who eventually became his first wife.
Anti-Cosmo became First General of the Anti-Fairies as a young adult, shortly before the War of the Angels. Following the war, he overthrew Anti-Bryndin and claimed the title of High Count for himself. He still rules today. As creche father of the Anti-Fairywinkle colony, he looks after all the pups born in the Blue Castle as though they were his own. He and the Head Pixie also share legal custody of an anti-fairy child (Talon) and an adolescent selkie (Larkspur). Anti-Saffron is not actively a major part of his life, and he clings to Anti-Wanda in present day. Though not perfectly faithful to his wife, Anti-Cosmo does love her dearly and strives to show her she’s the real queen of his soul in every way.
Anti-Cosmo is the protagonist of Frayed Knots and “Yellow Flower Number 9,” a major character in Origin of the Pixies, and appears in several one-shots and 130 Prompts. He’s prone to extreme energy swings and wavers between confident and anxiety-ridden depending on the day (you might catch him bragging in the evening and berating his stupidity the following morning). He has a tendency to compare himself with H.P., bemoaning how much more clever and efficient he thinks the pixie is while forgetting H.P. has almost 400,000 years on him. Though eloquent of tongue and sharp in mind, Anti-Cosmo isn’t the best at thinking on his feet and loses confidence at the worst of times. His impulsive tendency to throw plans into action before polishing the details is probably the Number 1 reason he often ends up in jail.
Anti-Cosmo has spent much of his life researching the reproduction of magical creatures and searching for loopholes in various laws. Becoming High Count only increased his desperation for a legitimate heir; before Foop was born, he manipulated quite a few puppets in an attempt to seize what he wanted. Prior Foop’s birth, Anti-Cosmo had planned to make an anti-fairy child named Talon his successor, even knowing the Anti-Fairy public would be reluctant to accept a High Count who clearly hadn’t been blessed by the nature spirits (thanks to Talon’s lack of uniquely colored eyes). When Foop was born, Anti-Cosmo chose to make him his heir instead... despite there being days he wishes to throttle that ungrateful child, he swears...

ANTI-WANDA VENUS ANTI-FAIRYWINKLE
Occupation: High Countess of the Anti-Fairies; counselor at Camp Wannahurtastranger; babysitter of a Sky demigod
Birthday: December 13th, Autumn of the Surrounding Thunder (Sky)
Height: 3′8” (Tall for a fae)
Age During Frozen Timestream: 394,777 (Mentally 35)
Age As of Devil’s Backbone: 558,037 (Mentally 49)
Alignment: True Neutral
MBTI: ENFP
Love Language: Gift giving
Handedness: Right dominant
Hometown: Thornpetal Town - Anti-Fairy World’s will o’ the wisp district; after being abandoned by her mother, Anti-Wanda and her twin sister were raised in the Anti-Fairy enclosure of the Eros Nest
Core: Tracking radar
Core Color: Pink (Layer 1 Blue; Layer 2 Purple)
Crown Lift: High
Wand Type: Clay
Fagiggly Color: Blue
Preferred Shapeshifting Form: Hound
Bio: Anti-Wanda was born in Anti-Fairy World’s will o’ the wisp district where she was raised for a few short years alongside her twin, Anti-Wendy, before they were dumped in Fairy World by their mother. She and Anti-Wendy ended up in the Eros Nest, where they lived until they became adults. Anti-Wanda met her (now ex-) boyfriend Anti-Juandissimo while there, and they were close for many years.
Once released from the Eros Nest, Anti-Wanda rapidly climbed the social louder and accepted a position as the Seat of Sky on Anti-Bryndin’s camarilla court. She became High Countess after the War of the Angels (once she married Anti-Cosmo).
Since paperwork isn’t her strong point, Anti-Wanda spends much of her time outside the Blue Castle, traveling Anti-Fairy World (and, on occasion, Fairy World). She’s very familiar with her people, who highly respect and appreciate her.
Anti-Wanda is extremely easy-going and allows insults to simply roll off her wings. Her sass, love of puns, and skill with innuendo precede her. She isn’t afraid to knock her husband’s ego down a few pegs when he needs it, but her reprimands are only ever given with love. Since Anti-Cosmo and Foop don’t get along, Anti-Wanda does her best to be everything her baby needs.
Anti-Wanda is the protagonist of “No Absolutes,” a major character in Frayed Knots, Origin of the Pixies, and Devil’s Backbone, and appears in several one-shots and 130 Prompts; “Bells on Bats‘ Tails” features her heavily. Though naturally interested in breaking rules if it means getting what she wants, Anti-Wanda is an extremely neutral figure who has no issue dabbling in the realm of nice and good every now and again.
Although she sees the Fairies as sticklers for their rules and not a lot of fun, she respects them more than many Anti-Fairies do and would offer her alliance instantly if H.P. or Jorgen were to call for it (much to the agitation of her husband and son). Though often perceived as her husband’s dumb, quiet puppet, Anti-Wanda is widely considered the more reasonable of the pair and the one you seek out first when engaging in Anti-Fairy politics. If you want to sway Anti-Cosmo’s mind on anything, get Anti-Wanda on your side. You have little chance without his wife’s support.
Anti-Wanda is a much more loving parent than a demanding one, although she tries hard not to play favorites between her boys. Anti-Cosmo and Foop both spend a great deal of time ranting to her about the other, and she’ll seek to pacify them to the best of her abilities. Often this means agreeing with them or promising to take their side in a future argument, which she’ll often forget to do.
When her boys clash directly, she prefers to stand back rather than intervene, though she may try to redirect their attention by belching or knocking something over. She loves her husband, children, and twin sister Anti-Blonda dearly; family is very important to her and she keeps up with her extended family members.
Though she has cut romantic ties with him, she still hopes to rebuild her friendship with Anti-Juandissimo one day... That is, once he comes back for her. Anti-Wanda doesn’t have a crush on him similar to their counterparts’ relationship, but she loathes leaving loose ends.
Even if they never repair their friendship, she hopes to at least make amends with the guy. Until then she’ll be found where she often is, doting on her family members and flying beneath the stars.
