This is for me, tbh, but I think posting it on Tumblr would be fun. So...!

I discovered Resident Evil (I saw a Jake Muller meme and the rest was history, if you can believe it) and It's been my undoing. I'm new to the fandom, so I know just what the games I played have shown me and little else (more like, general knowledge, I guess). I haven't watched any movies or series yet but I want to! 🎬

Resident Evil 2 (remake) ✅✅

I have it and I've already played it. I'm currently on my fourth run (Leon B) and all I can say is that I love it. Since it's the first RE game I played, I didn't quite know what to expect but I dig it. I didn't expect to like the puzzle solving aspect of it all as much as I did!

I have yet to play the other survivors mini games, which is fun. I like that I still have more things to do.

Resident Evil 3 (remake) ✅✅

I have it and I've already played it. One word: STRESSED. Nemesis was a pain in the ass 'till the very end. Jill and Carlos are amazing, and hot. Because of course they are. Almost every RE character is, for some reason.

Also, I like that some scenes show how things lead up to the whole RE 2 scenery. I was waiting for more zombies in the streets tbh, but I'm happy either way.

Resident Evil 4 (remake) ✅✅

I have the original AND the remake. I only played the remake tho. I liked the plot and Leon was funny af. The partner dynamic was a pain in the ass at first but I got used to it. It gave the game some urgency, I guess. I'm waiting to buy Separate Ways as I like Ada. Maybe soon!

Currently working my (Leon's) ass off to get that 2 million dollar rocket launcher with infinite ammo. I'll get that fcking thing

Resident Evil 5 ✅

I have it and I'm currently playing it. I wanted to play as Chris sooo bad and I can finally do it (while I wait to buy the first game, jeez).

First thing that comes to mind is that, in comparison to the previous games, this one is more action oriented with less puzzles. Then again, chapter 4 gave me Indiana Jones vibes. I loved it. Chris "I'm no superhero" Redfield is awesome and badass for no reason. Also: arms ✨

Resident Evil 6 ✅

I have it and I'll play as soon as I finish RE 5. I heard things LMAO I'm excited.

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

I don't have it yet.

Resident Evil 8: Village

I don't have it yet.

(I'll probably get 7 and 8 together. I don't like waiting if I can help it LOL I want the whole Winters experience in one go)

Resident Evil 9: Requiem

I don't have it yet and I don't know when I'll have it, tbh. It's so expensive and I don't have a PS5 🫩 (my stepdad does but RE is not his thing so... Problem for future me. Maybe I can convert him)

Maybe I'll review the games properly some day.

Also, I got RE Resistance with RE 3. I haven't played it yet but I heard it's a co-op? Is it still alive? I might check it out later.

The games in the pic are the ones I'm for sure playing. I'm always accepting recommendations, of course, as there are so many fcking games in this franchise. So, if someone engages with this post, what other RE games should I check out? I'm open.
