Still here! Not dead, just busy! :’D

I’ve finally found a little bit of time to work on 2017 portraits for my crew. I’m not too happy with how Noelle’s pictures turned out so I’ll probably revisit it after her new dress arrives.

As for Ryousuke, he still surprises me at how expressive he can be; even with a decade old faceup and a lack of eyelashes. I’ve been meaning to send him out for a fresh faceup, but I’m too attached to him and still love his current one too much to part with it... :’D But I’m going to get it done this year. I hope.

That said, there are a lot of changes happening in my life right now. I can’t say too much right now in case I jinx it, but if all goes well, I may just be back to posting more frequently like before!

Decided to change his hairstyle~ It’s not immediately obvious in the photos, but I gave him a half ponytail and trimmed his bangs a little.

I’m still in need of a better quality fur wig for him though. If anyone knows where I can find one in this length or longer and in the same shade of pink, please let me know!

(And yes, I changed my curtains. The previous set was really old. :’D)

It’s a Musedoll Suntanned Re-che. There are only 16 of him in the world. I fell in love with the sculpt almost a decade ago, when a friend of mine showed her Suntanned Re-che to me. I was a student then, and was still relatively new to BJDs so I haven’t even heard about the company until I saw the doll. Naturally, he’s already sold out by the time I found out.

I had been searching high and low for him since then, but ultimately gave up a couple of years after, when my searches all came up empty. I’ve never expected this to EVER happen, but I just happened to chance upon a listing for him two month back. I’m not really a fan of 2nd hand doll purchases because I love the smell of fresh resin, so I don’t normally check for doll sales. Surprisingly, it seems like the seller have had him listed for several months with no buyers. o:

Needless to say, I jumped on the chance to add him to my doll family. Even though I had just dropped a bomb on a couple of flight tickets and was really strapping for cash. It’s possibly a once in a lifetime chance for me and I just knew I’d regret it for the rest of my life if I pass this up. :’D

That said, the seller was extremely nice and agreed to a layaway for the sale, which helped to offset my financial burden a little. And I’ve finally paid it off two days ago. He will be shipping within the next couple of days, and I just can’t wait to meet him! <3 <3

Edit: Oh gosh look at me, I was too excited to type in proper sentences... XD;

Yeah yeah, I promised these pictures forever ago so I'm sorry they took me so long. Less than thrilled with the outcome of the shoot but such is life
