Mass protests are to take place at train stations across the region this morning (Monday, January 5, 2015) to protest the latest hike in rail fares, which are greater than the rate of inflation.

Berlin's not re-nationalising the grid - so what?
Berliners were recently invited to vote on re-nationalising the power network... Berliners voted to keep the grid in private hands - and some people say this sucks!
For those who say this sucks:
- Berlin's debt per capita is 10% higher than Detroit, before considering the cost of re-nationalisation. - Berlin's authorities announced delays measured in years just days before the planned opening of their new airport.
Why should we trust these guys will do a better job of running the grid?
