Years before photoshop, published pictures of movie stars, models, & celebrities have been "re-touched." Here, from the May 1956 issue of Esquire Magazine, Jane Russell is shown in both "un-retouched"and "retouched" side-by-side pictures. "Perfecting" people has been around a LONG-TIME, so I'm not so sure why we, as a society, are so shocked & outraged about the use of "photoshop" on today's celebrities.
