He was definitely supposed to be sleeping, he told her as much when she asked how his fever was doing, that was a lie of course. He was checking over a boiling pot of chicken stock that he was about done with. "Im my defense... I'm making chicken noodle soup?"
He was pretty sure that was a response and she was going to throw a spoon at him. "I couldn't sleep I'm sorry.... okayyyy."
He looked like a sad puppy dog a little bit in hopes she would take it easy on him and also because he just always had that face.

He squinted at her and gestured vaguely to cupcakes, "Willow asked me to grab her one while she's in surgery and hide it in my office." He shrugged, "The other one is for little bird. She's been asking to try your cupcakes since the last time you made them."

Granted, she probably deserved it. Willow had her phone in her hand and was squinting at a sequence of text messages. "LOOK! I was reminding myself that she's a bitch and I deserve better okay!!! I was noootttttt making a booty call." She tossed her phone back on the table running her nails through her hair. "The dating scene is so skittish. They all want Wednesday Addams but when they meet real one they go running for the hills."

Early into their career QC and Dylan's flight got some extended time off. The flight had recently been in a rather bad mission, resulting in multiple injuries so they were given leave. The unit went to Vegas so they could visit Shepherd and the fam, while they were there one night at the shitty hotel they were staying at they aired their issues, talked about what the damage and agreed to stick together for the people they lost.
Q stole the key from the hotel and keeps in on his car keys, a reminder of the promise the flight made and his part in it.

After the PittFest incident, her father stayed with her during recovery, even if she has a partner or a friend willing to do so he insists. He gave her this silver fox pendent with a small silver disc that was stamped in a few protection wards from multiple cultures on one side and a moon on the other. The fox is in part because of her wild and sometimes slinky nature. Not unlike his daughter they are creatures of the night that are cunning and charming but a bit mischievous.
She only takes it off when she has too now, it's a source of comfort and a fidget for when she's agitated or triggered. The chain she keeps it on is pretty long so is usually only spotted when outside of work.
