Sooooo... Goldenverse :)

Official DegradingData(TM) theories are as follows:

The "creators" of Goldenverse are the Greek (and possibly Norse?) gods themselves. Artem at one points references "[his] goddess," more than likely referring to Artemis, whom he is named after. My hypothesis based on this alone is that each Sans is the patron of a certain deity. It's pretty obvious that Artem and Aelius = Artemis and Apollo, the gods of the sun and moon who are themselves siblings; and that Reaper is the patron of Thanatos as he literally shares his name. Other pairings that I have thought about but not confirmed are Alexiares -> Ares, Hepharis -> Hephaestus, and Aretyr -> Tyr (more on that one later.)

Meeeee~! More specifically, Alexiares is one fucked up guy. You've confirmed in an ask of mine that he did in fact used to be Athanasios, but your writings about him seem to point to him evolving into a higher being, tearing his body apart and growing more animalistic features. I do wonder if everyone went through this, or if he's particularly unlucky. (Artem has wings, so it's possible.) Either way, Alexiares is extremely miffed about this development and still considers the other characters anomalous, suggesting he can still see the fourth wall. If I'm correct about bullet point #1, this more than explains his behavior.

And now, all these allusions to wolves. Wolf-skull Gaster Blasters, wolfsbane... there is one famously world-ending wolf in Norse mythology, Fenrir. Given the whole context of the AU so far, how everyone is experiencing famine and referencing Halsey songs, it seems reasonable to claim that Goldenverse is apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic in nature. There's also the matter of the MSR and MRR teams, search and rescue and research and recovery seem to solidify this hypothesis. Someone fucked something up real bad. And, I'm a bit rusty on my mythology, but I believe Fenrir is supposed to eat the sun on the day of Ragnorok? Which potentially means that Aelius is fated to die. Who the Wolf is is a mystery to me at this time.

And finally... Aretyr. This one comes courtesy of an alter of mine, who considered that the name of a Norse god involved with Fenrir is part of his name. This is a complete and utter shot in the dark, but Aretyr could be the patron of Tyr and play a similar role to him in the story. Tyr sacrificed his hand to bind Fenrir, which is why I asked to see his hands! And they are a little fucked up! Perhaps this plan of his didn't go as thought, enraging whoever plays the role of Fenrir in this story and leading to a premature cataclysm.

expect me to make occasional posts, some for my requests and some ab my mental health, but please don't expect me to be active every single day as i have a life outside the internet. i have rent to pay, i have work to do, and i have a lot of priorities i wish to tackle this year.

ill try my best to hop back onto requests when i can, but i can't guarantee that ill do very many as im still trying to figure out a good work-life balance currently. starting a new job always kicks that out of place for me so that's my priority atm.

thank you so much for reading this (if you have) and thank you even more for your patience. ive been doing so much better since my diagnosis and i really want to make more positive posts online for all of you guys.
