THOUGHTS FROM A POET
ON DAY JOBS:
“I was very careful never to take an interesting job. Not an interesting one. I took lots of jobs. But if you have an interesting job you get interested in it. I also began in those years to keep early hours. [...] If anybody has a job and starts at 9, there’s no reason why they can’t get up at 4:30 or 5 and write for a couple of hours, and give their employers their second-best effort of the day — which is what I did.”
ON A POET'S LIFE:
“I’ve always wanted to write poems and nothing else. There were times over the years when life was not easy, but if you’re working a few hours a day and you’ve got a good book to read, and you can go outside to the beach and dig for clams, you’re okay.”
– Mary Oliver

A quick fanfic on Catradora. Enjoy!
Adora woke up, the smell of the desert around her. She felt battered and worn down. The last thing she remembers is her ex best friend, Catra, beating her in what suddenly felt like the most important battle of her life. She looked around, groaning at the aching feeling spreading around her body. The hot sand brushed against her cheek, caressing her lips and hair. She felt alone.
The girl, lying propped on one elbow on the floor, grew suddenly still with fright. A whisper of a tail, a scrape of a claw; her captor was near. Cautiously, the chosen She-Ra lifted her sore head up until she was facing the feline, slim form beside her. She struggled to her feet, noticing that she was unbonded. Her heart flared to see the beautiful woman in front of her. In fact, they were only teenagers, both seventeen, yet here they both were, fighting. Why did they have to fight?
Adora winced. Catra shouldn’t be engendering such emotions. They were enemies, foes, deadly swords and claws and snarls. Yet she couldn’t help but notice that Catra still had on the red mask that she had given her friend all those years ago, and be happy that she had it on. The prisoner glared at her captor, eyes narrowed, attempting to bury her feelings. No time for that now. Catra had made her choice.
It's true that the body regains weight after losing it, which is because once you have fat cells can not disappear, only get smaller. However if you change your lifestyle permanently (in a healthy way, so not dieting, just eating healthier foods) and regular exercise it is possible to maintain the lower weight. You say you're basing your blog on scientific arguments and condemn scientists for leaving formation out of consideration, even though you do it yourself. - An actual overweight scientist
Just today on my blog, I provided links to two meta-analyses and one report from the Australian Department of Health supporting my claims. You provided no evidence at all. So by the official rules of science (which you know, because you are an actual scientist), I win.
If you want to keep playing the game, you need to provide a reference for a meta-analysis of at least 10 randomized and controlled experiments that demonstrates that “chang[ing] your lifestyle permanently (in a healthy way, so not dieting, just eating healthier foods)” results in clinically significant, sustained weight-loss for longer than 5 years for more than 90% of the participants. Good luck!
