😍 What is your favourite fic trope?

Particularly anything with a happy ending. So usually it’s a lot of hurt/comfort mostly because there is so much in my current hyper-fixation that just hurts me to my soul...so...

All the happy. 

👿 What trope do you hate / avoid at all costs?

Anything involving certain characters’ deaths I avoid like the plague. Not a fan. At all.

Is there anything in canon that made you want to quit the show? What was it? Why did you hate it? 

huumm I’m not sure which show/book/universe you intended this for, noony, so I’ll give a couple! ML had plenty of canon moments that made me want to quit the show [and in fact is the one show I kinda need to dissociate from most of it’s canon and focus on the few bits I do really enjoy to keep watching it] either for lack of consistency, quality, logic etc.  Inuyasha only suffered that with me during the Band of 7 arc.I don’t HATE it, but I certainly think it’s one of the most boring and jarring arcs in the series. The characters to me are not believable, the whole situation felt very forced and I couldn’t sympathize or truly respect any of the new characters, they just felt like unidimensional caricatures, which is kinda saddening because all inuyasha’s main characters are complex. I know this is a VERY unpopular opinion cause this arc seems to be one of/the most popular/fav of the fandom, but alas, it is what it is haha.

SM and Sakura never really suffered from that, and Kamisama hajimemashita I just completely ignore the very last chapter [of the manga, I never watched the anime] What is one plot twist you wish people would stop using? 

I don’t think I have any, tbqh? I’m very ok with cliches. They can be good, so long as they aren’t poorly executed! The journey there is usually what stays with me the most.

Ooooh 💡 Tell me a headcanon (and who you wish would write it)?

Aaaa well there’s not many that I can think of that I haven’t already said, but one I would like to elaborate on:

I have a very solid headcanon that Zephyr is a daddy’s girl, and so he’d teach her how to draw, and even give her little journals that she can doodle in, she draws lots of things including the dragons (she would obsess over them after meeting them for the first time, maybe even skim through the book of dragons out of curiosity). The majority of her drawings she gives to Hiccup as little gifts and he pins them on his desk/workstation/wherever he spends the most time chiefing. 

As for who I would like to write it I would have to vouch for my wonderful mutuals, @chiefhiccstrid and @alejandrathemexican, they’re both amazing writers and I love reading any kind of fic off either of them :)

A8: What was your first fandom? Are you still in that fandom now?

First fandom was Harry Potter. (Actually the way I discovered fanfiction and online forums and stuff in general, and holy heck was I confused when I thought I was reading some excerpt from Half Blood Prince and was like ‘Wtf, why is this being told from Hermione’s pov? Why is Ron dead? WHAAAT?” lol.) In any case, I’m kind of active in the HP fandom but also not. I read the odd fic here and there, but I don’t get super involved anymore.

B7: Which character is your favourite to read about? Why?

Zuko. I love his journey, I love how so much is pitted against him -- from his family background to life in general -- but he still pulls through and changes  for the better. He never lets circumstance defeat him. Plus, I love how underneath all that angst he’s just an awkward softie.

C1: What trope are you tired of reading? Why?

A lot, but the one that springs to mind is “kidnap” fics. They’re so rapey and cringey and ugh. I just don’t like them at all. Thank goodness for people like @emletish-fish who knows how to write a kidnap fic without it being ridiculous and turning the male lead into some gross arsehole.

Has a fic ever made your face hurt from laughing so much?

Not really? First of all, I think humor is the hardest of all genres to write. I have read some fics that are humorous or contain funny moments - but nothing that made me laugh long and persistently like described above. I think the funniest fics I’ve read is a tie between Feynite’s The One Where Lavellan is a Nug, and Dysonrules’ Order of Merlin (Harry Potter - Harry/Draco. Esp the first 2 chapters are funny as I recall). Both of these gain their humor by exaggerating certain properties in the characters to what I feel is OOCness, but still manage to make it funny, not annoying. 

💡 Tell me a headcanon (and who you wish would write it)?

I answered one thing here, here is another:

I headcanon that Solas and Sera become friends over time. I find a lot of their banters heading towards both gentler teasing and Solas feeling almost paternal? Like there is always a dash of frustration, but also affection? I think the lizard banter, for instance, indicates this. 

I’d love to see someone write an odd friendship fic and tbh I’d want you ( @idrelle-miocovani ) to write it since I think it would include a lot of fun dialogue, it would need to carry it? 

🏆 What do you wish more authors in your fandom would write about?

I think there are so many great things being written, I can’t keep up? So I feel like it’s a bit greedy to wish for something when it’s probably already there, I just haven’t seen it.

Maybe just more minor original characters? I love @contreparry‘s Codex Entries and servants and extended Trevelyan family - but then again, how MUCH of this would I want? Many things are not a huge need, but a small one, if that makes sense. 

hmm actually, this might be weird, because I think it must exist - but I love some more post-Trespasser fix it fics (where Lavellan does not want to join Solas). I see so many Solavellan fics set during the Inquistion, or fics that are angsty and doesn’t fix things or are complete AUs. I just need more ways for Solas to stop himself, alright?

Oh! Solas with boy children, if he has kids with Lavellan (or any other LI) . So many girl children for Solas lol. 

also, a random smut thing below the cut

(I guess I totally could write this myself if I really wanted to ) - I’d love to see a female Lavellan enjoying buttsex with Solas. I feel like I should send a prompt to @buttsonthebeach lol.

Unpopular opinion, perhaps, but PWP does nothing for me. I don’t know if that’s a trope or a genre, but it’s the only thing jumping to mind right now.

💡 Tell me a headcanon (and who you wish would write it)?

I’ve managed to work most of my big headcanons into fics myself already (Near and L’s backstories, for instance), but I headcanon that Sayu gets married a few years post-canon and Sachiko moves in with them, and I would love to read a fic by anyone that’s just about Sachiko and Sayu moving on and finding joy together rather than just being Tragically Bereaved Women offscreen.

Hmmm... wow, I really don’t know. I feel like there aren’t as many multichapter fics in the fandom as there used to be, I miss awaiting the next chapter of a fic eagerly. Maybe more genre AU? I love AUs.
