Requested by Anon – I see you’re taking Witcher requests! I want to request a Geralt x reader, where they’ve been traveling together and reader develops feelings for him but has never told the real reason why she went with him and Jaskier. She has a very controlling family that she ran away from. While making a stop, Geralt gets a sense that somebody is following them and turns out her family hired some people to abduct her and bring her back home. Maybe she tells how she feels after he saves her from being taken. A/N – name calling. Characters – Geralt, Reader, Jaskier. Word Count – 1252.
Three months you’d been travelling with Geralt and Jaskier, three months of seeing the beautiful country and the cities that were littered throughout. Three months of feeling safe, no one questioning you about yourself or even bringing you down. Having successfully killed another monster, the three of you decided to spend the night in the small town. The residents sent glares at the Witcher, but then jaskier produced his small guitar and started singing and it wasn’t long before drunken people where singing so loudly and out of tune you had to get up and leave. Excusing yourself from the table, Geralt grunted as he was being talked to two woman who were almost sitting on top of his lap as he drank the sour ale without flinching. Finally getting outside, the air was slightly fresher but didn’t care, dusting the top of the stool of you turned to sit on it when you felt like you were being watched. Slowly turning around you were greeted nothing, sighing you sat down and leant against the side of then pub, closing your eyes.
‘You ready to leave?’ It was Geralt, he was holding a stumbling Jaskier, you nodded before standing up and followed behind them, the feeling of being watched hadn’t eased up but you couldn’t see anything. ‘You can feel it too?’ Geralt asked, you turned to him as he’d decided to lift Jaskier over his shoulder, he lay slumped but was still singing the song. ‘Being watched.’ Geralt clarified, you nodded before blowing your hair away. ‘Yeah, someone’s been watching me since we’ve arrived here.’ ‘I’ll put Jaskier to bed and then I’ll check it out.’ He said, you nodded before looking at Jaskier, who had suddenly gone white. ‘He’s gonna puke.’ You said quickly, Jaskier was off his shoulder in an instant and was quickly bent over so he didn’t puke over himself. ‘How many did he have to drink?’ You asked Geralt over his back, as you rubbed circles. ‘Three mugs.’ Geralt responded. ‘God, Jaskier you’re a lightweight.’ You mumbled to him, when you noticed Geralt had disappeared and then the sound of shouting and fighting sounded. There was some skin hitting skin, before everything went quiet before Geralt appeared from the tree line dragging an unconscious man behind him by his foot. You stood up and looked at him as he dropped the foot and then turned to you.
‘Who sent you?’ Geralt asked, the man continued to stare at you before smiling. ‘You should ask your whore over there.’ He said, a drunken Jaskier kicked him. ‘You do not call a lady a whore.’ He mumbled, you reached for him and pulled him away, making him sit down on the bed. ‘Who sent you?’ Geralt asked again, the man continued to look at you before you shook your head. ‘My parents.’ You informed him, Geralt turned and looked at you. ‘Why? You aren’t a princess are you?’ He asked, you scoffed and shook your head. ‘God no, furthest thing from that.’ You said, he still looked confused. ‘How much did they pay you?’ You asked the man, he didn’t look away from you. ‘Thirty gold coin.’ He said, you scoffed. ‘More than they were going to sell me for.’ You said, knowing Geralt heard you. ‘You can return back and tell them I won’t be returning.’ You informed him. ‘They said I should bring you back no matter what.’ He told you, you nodded slowly before you started shaking your head. ‘Well kill me because I will not be going back to live in that pig sty.’ You told him, opening your arms in front of you. ‘But you’ll stay with the Witcher.’ He said, jutting his jaw towards the tall brooding man behind you, you nodded. ‘I feel welcomed here, no need to change that now.’
‘Thank you for stopping him.’ You told him, he grunted in response as you wiped down Jaskier face with a wet cloth, as he mumbled. ‘Why are they after you?’ He asked, you stopped what you were doing and set the cloth down back into the bowl. ‘I was born to the loveliest couple but – who am I kidding.’ You shook your head. ‘My parents had me, hoping I’d be a boy but I wasn’t.’ You quickly said. ‘So they loved me until their son was born, and then another son.’ You explained, Geralt turned and watched you as your eyes glossed over. ‘I was put out into the pig sty to live and sleep, whilst they had their fun learning and playing with other people I was doing the chore.’ You explained, smelling the pig poop over you as it coated your skin and clothes. ‘I would wake up when the sun rose and did everything, then when the sun set I would be doing more stuff.’ You continued. ‘If I wanted to bathe I had to sneak down to the river and wash in the darkness.’ You stated. ‘Then some lady came and offered to buy me up for ten silver, but before she could take me I ran, then meet you and Jaskier and here we are.’ You finished, motioning between the drunk boy and Geralt. He looked at you, taking everything in before he glanced at Jaskier before pushing off the doorframe and walked away from the pair of you.
‘Y/N.’ Geralt said, you woke with a jerk, the back of our head hitting off the wall that you were sat against. Looking to Jaskier before turning to Geralt you looked at him confused. ‘Follow me.’ He said, you let out a yawn before nodding and standing up. He took off quickly and you had to jog to catch up to him before you struggled to stay beside him. ‘Where are we going? Jaskier-.’ ‘Jaskier will be fine.’ He grumbled, you pursed your lips and nodded before he stopped and opened a door. ‘What’s this?’ You asked, the steam filled up your senses and you turned to Geralt. ‘It’s a bath.’ He said, pointing to the wooden tub. ‘It is, but why here, we aren’t due one until the next town.’ You informed him, knowing the routine. ‘True, but the thief had the silver coins on him, and well now he doesn’t.’ He said, you looked confused. ‘I booked an hour for you, the water might be cold by the time your down but you’ve never had a warm one before.’ He said, your jaw slackened as you looked at him and then to the bath that had wisps of steam coming from the clear water. You turned around and pressed your fingers against it, breaking the surface and feeling the comfort within. You were about to say something before you turned back and walked over to Geralt, stopping in front of him. He tried to keep a straight face but when you reached up on your tippy toes and cupped on cheek before pressing a kiss to the other you felt his heart jerk. ‘Thank you, this means a lot to me.’ You told him, stepping back and dropping your hand, he sighed as he closed is eyes briefly before nodding. ‘I’ll leave you be.’ He said and before you could reply he stepped out the room and shut the door, but you didn’t hear his footsteps disappear but you didn’t care before you slid out your clothes and quickly submerged yourself in the water, the warmth surround you as you let out a moan.
