Ruggie Bucchi
"I swear, you're giving Leona a run for his money, and that is not a compliment, [Name]."
Ruggie stood with his hands on his hips, staring down at the patch of shade beneath the botanical garden’s oldest acacia tree. There you were, a feline beastman completely melted into the grass, tail twitching lazily just to keep the flies away. Ruggie had been running around all morning doing chores for the Savanaclaw dorm head, and seeing you utterly mastered by gravity was testing his patience. He nudged your foot with his boot, but you merely let out a soft, sleepy puff of air, refusing to open even one eye to acknowledge his presence.
With a dramatic sigh, the hyena beastman dropped to his knees beside you, his ears pinning back in faux annoyance before a sly grin crept onto his face. He reached out, his calloused fingers expertly finding the sweet spot right behind your cat ears, scratching with just the right amount of pressure. Your ears immediately perked up, a involuntary, deep purr rumbling in your chest as you instinctively leaned into his touch, though your eyes remained stubbornly closed. "You know, if you're gonna be this lazy, the least you can do is help me with my next shift at the cafeteria," Ruggie teased, his voice dropping to a playful whisper. "I'll even split the leftovers with you. Come on, up you get, or I'm gonna start charging you a fee for this premium ear-scratching service."
You finally opened one bleary eye, giving him a look of pure betrayal as his hand pulled away. "Fine, fine, you win," you mumbled, sluggishly rolling over to grab his wrist and pull his hand right back to your head.
Jack Howl
"Hey. Wake up. You're going to catch a cold sleeping out here on the cold stone."
Jack stood over you, crossing his massive arms as he frowned down at the bench you had claimed outside the main pavilion. His large wolf tail was swishing with a mix of anxiety and irritation; he just couldn't comprehend how someone could willingly waste prime training hours by napping in the breeze. As a feline beastman, you had found the one perfect sliver of afternoon sunlight hitting the stone bench, and you were determined to absorb every single UV ray like a solar-powered battery. Jack's shadow was currently blocking your sun, which earned him a very weak, feline hiss of displeasure from beneath your uniform blazer.
Jack let out a heavy, frustrated huff, his ears twitching as he looked around to make sure no one else was watching. Grumbling under his breath about how irresponsible you were, he unbuttoned his own heavy track jacket and carefully draped it over your curled-up form, tucking it around your shoulders with surprising gentleness for someone so big. He sat down heavily on the very edge of the bench, giving you a safe distance but effectively blocking the chilly wind with his broad frame, acting as a giant, furry windbreak. "If Leona catches you slacking off out here, he’s just gonna use you as a footstool again," Jack mumbled, staring straight ahead but refusing to leave your side. "Just... stay put for a bit. I'll make sure nobody bothers you while you finish your nap." You peeked out from under his jacket, inhaling the comforting, earthy scent of pine and sweat that clung to the fabric, and curled up tighter against his side. "Thanks, Jack... you're a good pillow," you sleepily muttered, making his tail wag instantly.
Kalim Al-Asim
"Wow, [Name], you look so incredibly cozy! Can I join you?"
Kalim’s cheerful voice boomed through the quiet courtyard, instantly shattering the peaceful silence you had spent the last hour cultivating. You were draped over a plush outdoor lounge chair in the Scarabia courtyard, looking less like a student and more like a liquid cat poured over cushions. Your tail gave a single, unenthusiastic flick of greeting, but you didn't move an inch, hoping that if you played dead long enough, the energetic dorm head might mistake you for a decorative pillow. No such luck, as Kalim was already beaming down at you like a second sun.
Before you could protest, Kalim had signaled a nearby servant to bring over an absolute mountain of silk pillows, throwing them down right next to your lounge chair and diving into them with an enthusiastic laugh. He didn't seem to mind your complete lack of energy at all; in fact, he seemed to view your laziness as a specialized art form that he was eager to learn. He reached over, gently patting your head and smoothing down your unruly hair, his bright red eyes sparkling with genuine warmth. "Jamil is always telling me I need to sit still and relax more, so I think spending the afternoon doing absolutely nothing with you is the perfect plan! Oh, let's get some ice cream, or smoothies! brought out—you don't even have to lift a finger, I'll feed it to you myself if you're too tired!"
You let out a soft groan, burying your face deeper into the cushions, though a tiny, helpless purr escaped you at the gentle strokes on your head. "Kalim... you're too loud for a nap, but I'll stay for the food," you murmured, completely defeated by his hospitality.
thank you for coming again kalimalasimirl!!
