That’s Not My Name
As long as you’ve know Riyo, she’s never once used your name. It’s always been “sweetheart” or “babe” or some form of playful nickname that was never your name. The first time you heard her talking about you, you weren’t even in the room. She was talking to Enjin, who mentioned you, to which she replied with “you mean my pretty girl?”. Enjin did not find it as funny as she did. As it continues like this, you almost start to think that Riyo doesn’t even remember your name.
Version #1
The second the claws of the trash beast slam against your side, you feel your ribs crack and then snap. you watch as Riyo’s face contorts into one of fear, her eyes going wide as she reaches for you. your body is thrown to the side like a ragdoll, like you’re nothing more than a distraction from the real threat. as you tumble across the floor, your body numb, all you can focus on is the steps chasing after you in rapid succession. your eyes turn, the only part of your body listening to you. Riyo drops to her knees next to you, whispering your name alongside other worries as her hands find their way onto you. your chest heaves, a small fragile smile creeping onto your face. she did remember your name after all.
Version #2
you watch in absolute horror as the tail of a trash beast swings around, smacking Riyo right out of the air. her body thuds sickeningly loud against the nearest tree, slowly slumping down to the ground. you couldn’t get the fast enough, vital instrument forgotten on the floor. you pull Riyo into your arms, your whole body shaking. she smiles up at you, her teeth stained red. “Hey, [Name]”. Your heart hammers in your chest as your eyes rack over her, searching for any hint, any answer of what you can do in this very moment. you shake your head as you realize what Riyo just said. “hey… hey, that’s not my name. you don’t call me that, say something else. call me your pretty girl, don’t change up on me now”

hurt, no comfort at ALL. everyone is suffering today. anyway. adding dialogue into prompts always feels… weird. cause like, who i am to say what should be said?? but this one i felt it was necessary so…
