This way, you’ll know that my fingers have brushed the grubby carpet in the seam between door and floor; that my feet have lingered on the threshold of your room and will again, whenever you choose to invite them.

Additional Comments: This is the second part of dirtybinary’s Murder Burger series. The first part, time to kill, has also been podficced, by @annapods. I suppose you can listen to each part separately but the series is such a joy that you want to listen to both parts in their chronological order. :) The premise of this fic/podfic is that Steve did not go into the ice, but married Peggy, and has been fighting/loving the Winter Soldier since 1956 when he (or rather Peggy) found out Bucky was still alive. Reichenbach is set after the events of CA:TWS. The Winter Soldier is staying in Singapore where Steve has found him. Despite the canon divergence, this fic has some of the most spot-on characterisations of both Steve and Bucky; their letters are hilariously funny and heart-wrenching at times. I love how serious this fic/podfic takes the long decades they have known each other. I love the vision of Steve and Peggy in this fic. The fic is clever, insightful and wonderfully original, and accrues’ reading does it more than justice. The ending (for now?) of the series is rather brilliant – and the Epilogue is set on January 3, 2015, which is why I had to post this tonight. :) Go check out the podfic series, it’s the best start of the new Stucky podfic year.
