people using the word performatively far too much for my liking and it’s like if you’re actually doing the thing then it’s not performative is it now
#sorry saw a post about someone seeing a girl performatively eating an apple……..pissed me off#you’re still eating the apple!#this applies to many things#reading especially#are you actually reading the book and not just sitting outside a cafe looking at the first page?#awesome then its not performative#its all scaring people away from actually doing things they like bc they might get called performativeby strangers on the internet
