Relaxing after a long day <3
This is Wally. Chrissie found him this morning in the checkout line at Walmart. She couldn't leave him in Walmart and couldn't leave him in the parking lot, so she brought him to the library. Why the library? Well, we have a delightful reading garden that will one day in the near future become a community garden. Chrissie released him to the comforts of our garden, where he will hopefully make a home and live his best life. Welcome to the library's reading garden, Wally! We love you already.

The Rotary Reading Garden at the St Marys Public Library was opened on May 29, 2007. It includes a walkway, plants, trees, benches and chessboards. St. Marys Rotary Club began planning the garden in 2005 to mark the 80th anniversary of the club and the 100th anniversaries of their international organization and the library's opening. The garden is maintained by the town.
