Imagination comes with books. They help (a lot) with the imagination!
A mind without reading, is hostage to interpretations, (etc.) and this is dangerous, you are hostage to "educated" people for you to understand that subject. Do not be like this, read, learn, you will like it.

being nice to strangers has a huge impact btw because I was sitting on a bench today reading a book and on the bench next to me sat an elderly man also reading a book and when I was about to leave he asked me what I was reading, so I held up my book (This Savage Song by VE Schwab) and said “It’s my favourit author” and he said I never heard of them and then I asked what he was reading and he held up his book and said it’s a french author so I said “I never heard of them, either” and we both laughed and I said “Have a nice day” and he said “Yeah, you too” and then I left and felt like everything was really good and fine in the world because of this short, sweet interaction. so yeah.
