09.01.2023 - My new reading journal FINALLY turned up (just the 9 days late...)
I'm trying Paperblanks this year because they're a bit smaller than my normal Peter Pauper Press journals - so far I really love them! I'm using the Marble Twine midi for my main journal (the distressed cream book with green and gold embossing). However, I bought the Sir Thomas More speech mini journal to track my Shakespeare reading project. It's absolutely TINY but I adore it!
I've also ended up with a Dante journal by accident - I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it but God is it gorgeous (the image doesn't do it justice, the whole cover is slightly metallic and feels amazing).
So far I'm really impressed with Paperblanks, I was nervous to switch but I really wanted something pretty but more functional for my lifestyle. I read on the go A LOT and having the flexibility to chuck my journals into a bag without taking up a lot of space. These journals are stunning, have decent paper quality, and the size is working well for me - I do think they're expensive for what they are (£12-13 for a mini and £15-17 for a midi) but I don't mind. I'm very happy so far - but I need to use these for a bit longer to know if this will be a permanent swap after 2023.

THIS IS SO FUNNY. u meet a strange man w a gunshot wound on your dead aunt's porch & call a doctor to come help & about 2 seconds after the doctor leaves he starts making out with you. and you've exchanged about 10 sentences of conversation up until this point mostly consisting of "please do not take me to the hospital i'm literally fine"
me every fucking 30 seconds of this book
