I am not sure that I exist, actually. I am all the writers that I have read, all the people that I have met, all the women that I have loved; all the cities I have visited.

Literacy...
Literacy is so much more than just knowing how to read. Literacy also requires having appreciation for how you learned to read and for those who helped to shape your values and practices in reading.
Horenstein Chapter 2
Overall, I thought this chapter was very nicely put together but also a lot of review at least for myself. I just recently got my DSLR so I just went through the research process of all the different types of lenses, but this chapter did a nice job summing up the important information. I liked the sections this chapter was broken up into. Focus, I found interesting because as I was doing this project I tried to switch to manual for some different shots and couldn't get it to work as I had wanted it, so that is my next learning curve with my camera. However, I do like the quickness of auto. Exposure. Without good exposure you don't have a good image, it is that simple. Depth of field. This aspect is one of my favorite to play around with in photography. I really feel like it is a great and relatively simple way to show others how you see things and how to portray simple things in different perspectives. I thought the part that discussed different filters was interesting. I have some for my film camera but would love to see the affect filters have on digital pictures.
