The Save Reading Gaol will be holding a special march to support plans to convert the Grade II listed Reading Prison into an arts and heritage centre
The majority of new developments in my hometown are primarily flats for people wanting to commute into London, this unfortunately also means that even the infamous Reading Gaol (which I actually got to look around inside a while back for an art gallery thingy) are going to be converted into flats as well.
There have been plans to turn it into an arts centre of some sort, but apparently that’s considered to be too expensive, so this is the route folks are going for instead.
Fun Fact for Killing Eve Fans: The inside of the prison was actually used as a set for the show at various times.
