Made it through chapter 5, met Vau.

Not sure what I think about him except that I dislike him for Atin’s sake which has very little to do with a three dimensional character and more with the fact that I just really like Atin .

But that is not what I actually found most interesting in this chapter. At the end of the chapter the reinforcement of Etain’s outsider feeling and wish for connection she sees in the clones but doesn’t have herself stuck with me. It was mentioned before but in this chapter there is this direct mentioning of the divergences and the fact that so much just happiness isn’t really comparable with the Jedi code…

My thoughts on chapter 15

Apparently monogamy is not that big of a deal for mandalorians or so the fist paragraph of this chapter has told me. Which Hase some interesting implications. Or more makes me have questions about in which way it is practiced. Is it more an open relationship type of thing, or a poly thing, both dependent on the person and relationship?

The complicated feelings of Fi’s about the relationship between Etain and darman if pritty interesting. Like realistic considering how close they all are and how used only having each other as emotionally support. But interesting non the less.

Look what came in the mail today

For everybody wondering why it has taken me two months to get my hands on these books. I originally didn’t want to buy them but turns out neither wanted my library which I lerne like month after requesting them. (They are too old to buy for them) then I kind of procrastinated and finally bought the during a sail on a second hand book website.

I’m currently reading something else so you have to wait a little for me to continue my commentary should anyone still care to read it.

So that’s my little update.

Just completed the third chapter of Triple Zero

Etain has changed over the year. She is kind of less insecure but not really. She still worries, still thinks she is not good enough but less anxiously if you understand what I mean. I love how she interacts with the clones and how there are some parallels in how Kal sees the clones and how she does it.

So Kal, I think I made up my mind, I like him. So far he seems like a decent person, not a good one he has flaws but he cares and that is what currently matters to me.

I’m still figuring out what to think of Ordo, I’m not shure why but I still don’t think I have a grasp on who he is… so that will take a bit…

Read chapter seven and eight here are my thoughts

I understand why his sons declared Kal dar’buir. This is not to say I dislike him or think he is not good for the clones and a good father to them, but he certainly wasn’t to his own (blood) children, even if that just means that he couldn’t take care of them and interact with them in away they needed, and that maybe wasn’t compatible with the Mandalorians culture.

I honestly wasn’t surprised that that happened, but I’m kind of happy that he is able to see that he fucked up in that regard. Not every parent is capable of grasping that fact.

Ordo is kind of still a kid in the way trauma can do to you when you have grown up too fast. It’s actually pretty good to see that he has places where he can be this boyish. With which I mean he had Kal who can give him reassurance and seems to actually do so and the way he did example interactions with Fi when they met again.

I want to punch sev now too, do I think it’s his fault to a degree, I am not sure what happened but Atine seems to have some very specific childhood trauma on top on the one they all have and sev at least won’t let him alone. No abuser deserves reconciliation. No one who makes you react like Atin dose to Vau has a right for you to ever interact with them again. And everyone that wants to pressure someone to forgive them or talk it out when you are obviously not ready for that deserves to be punched. There is no "it stays in the family" when there are only one persons feelings consideration…

I am now though chapter six of hard contact

I start to be really found of the way Darman sees the world. his childish wonder about nature is balm to my soul.

Jinart is defiantly some sort of Jedi or force user who gets visions. The way she just kind of took on Etain is brilliant, the scene where she basically says she wants to train Etain but that is not her place was one I really liked.

the was Etain yearns for connection but kind of doesn't want to allow it to herself, a) because she is more or less rightfully paranoid and b) because she has be raised to bot love or be in anyway committed to anything but the force and with it the Jedi temple in corposant is both hard braking and understandable. The way living out side of the temple with other people makes her long for a family for the first time is also a great detail
