Mads since seeing Adams story I can’t stop thinking about matty and d word girlie cuddled up in their hoodies watching the next set 😭😭

after your little, um, sexcapades in the empty green room lol, matty gets changed out of his stage clothes and you steal one of his hoodies (because it's chilly!) and you head to the other main stage so you can see the killers. when you get there, you hug and congratulate the rest of the band, who have the good grace not to question what you and matty were up to, although charli winks at you and mouths "good?" - you mouth back "great", and she nods approvingly lol. but yeah, you have such a nice time watching them; matty giggles at how adorable you are, because basically every other song that the killers play makes you go "oh, i forgot about this song! what a fucking TUNE!", and he sneaks little kisses with you as you dance together. he's like "did you dance to these songs at house parties?" and you're like "yeah lol", and he laughs like "thank fuck we've found a shared experience that transcends the age gap". at that point, mr brightside starts, and you're like "oh come on, everyone's danced to this at a house party lmao i bet our kids'll do it too" - you don't even mean to say it, and your eyes widen when you realise. naturally matty (still dancing about to the first verse) JUMPS on it like "OUR kids?? you've thought about us having kids??", and you're like (also bopping) "um... yeah"; matty just BEAMS and kisses you, before pulling back like "let's talk about it after the song, yeah? this is good, sweetheart, really", and you're so relieved like "alright, baby". and then you just dance, with each other and your friends, scream-singing the lyrics like maniacs and just having the time of your lives. matty hugs you from behind as the song ends and brandon flowers does his little "thank you" bit, and you just feel so... euphoric, actually, so loved and in love with matty and with life in general lmao. it's very sweet and lovely <3

had a thought about d word matty and that pic he posted of the box in the dark and him making girlie stand infront of it and takimg some artsy pics just fpr him 😭

when they set the box up for the first time the night/early morning before reading and switch it on, you and matty take a romantic stroll down to the stage together to take a look. and i think matty genuinely might get a little bit emotional, seeing the same design from the tiny stages of years ago on this massive one a decade later, so you walk over to him and give him a big hug, which he reciprocates gladly - when he pulls back and looks at you though, he gets this really soft dreamy look in his eyes. you're like "what?", and matty just smiles and strokes your face and says "the way the light's reflecting on you... you look kinda ethereal, baby" - you smile bashfully and he's like "oh god, my heart. angel girl for real", and you're like "are you high? i look so... casual. i'm in your jumper, for christ's sake, babe, lmao". and matty's like "i said what i said! let me take a picture of you then, if you don't believe me. see for yourself"; he does just that, taking pics of you side-on to the box so it reflects your face, then backlit by it (he moves further back to get a perspective shot of you looking teeny tiny in front of it), then a final set of you looking at it and it being reflected in your eyes. those are matty's favourites - he posts one to his insta story with some crazy poetic caption about the visual representation of his work, one of the most important things in his life, being within the actual visual part of the other most important thing. he is genuinely a little bit high lmao. but he loves you a lot <3
