Social media plays an incredibly big and important role in our lives. We get informations from there, we communicate on social websites, basically it’s a part of a life in these days, in this generation.
A lot of people became addicted to social media surfaces, for example Instagram, which is a website where you can share photos with descriptions and hashtags. You also can communicate with people in direct messages or in comments. According to my experiences most people try to show that their lives are perfect, they’re always happy and successful, they don’t have any problems at all. But of course it’s NOT true. It’s obviously, that people don’t want to share with anyone on the internet if they’re sad, they cry or they have financial, psychical or any kind of problems. But you shouldn’t believe that their lives are flawless.
There are thousand of girls who go to the gym regularly, post pictures from there, and about their healthy foods and exquisite body. Afterthat they go home to a huge, beautiful house to their gorgeous husbands/boyfriends with whom they live a dreamlike life. BUT again, this isn’t the truth. More and more people are becoming depressed because they follow lots of people, who live like this way. These people think that they are the only ones, whose life isn’t so successful, who hasn’t a perfect beachbody, and an excellent partner and so on.
If you follow these “stars” you make yourself sad. You got home after an exhausting day, lay down on the couch and scroll down your Instagram feed, and feel yourself more sorrowful after every faultless post. You always see the better side of the life, but you will never see the bad and hard side. Luckily, there are more and more profiles, where people share the stories behind Instagram pictures, the fake poses, the perfect angles, makeup, dresses, and so on. There is an unbelievably big difference between reality and the edited instagram side, which can influence your mood, your mentality and some cases your opinion about yourself, even if you think it isn’t true. It happens unknowingly, subconsciously.
All in all, be careful what you see on social media surfaces, you shouldn’t believe everything. Be happy and take care of yourself!
