So I picked up this copy of Janet Frame's autobiography An Angel At My Table after hearing about it in the #ReadingMatters17 conference at my university. I really enjoyed the conference and voted for this book to win (it came second to Dostoyevsky's Notes From Underground). This autobiography deals with Frame's mental health and her misdiagnosis of schizophrenia and how she escaped undergoing a lobotomy after winning a national literary prize. I think it's really interesting how this year's two most popular books at the conference dealt with mental health and it clearly shows that students want to their studies to focus on such themes.
