Today's #readthisdecember prompt is Sibling Love. While there are plenty of books on my shelves with great siblings, I couldn't think of another huge series where the entire plot started with one sibling throwing everything away to protect the other. I have more about dragons than I thought, but not nearly enough to satisfy me. #readthisdecember day 11 was Mythical Creature, and how could I choose anything other than dragons? Ever since my dad read Bilbo talking to Smaug when I was little I've loved the idea of giant, super smart, fire-breathing lizards. Yes, I'm still a day behind on #readthisdecember but I'm catching up. Pardon the lack of decorations, I'm at my bestie's @cathrynmartyndow apartment for a bit tonight. #readthisdecember day 10 was Kiss, Marry, Kill, and I thought why not do it with the boys of Throne of Glass, Dorian, Chaol, and Rowan. I, personally would kiss Rowan, marry Dorian, and kill Chaol. I know I'm the weirdo who wouldn't go for Rowan but he pissed me the fuck off in Heir of Fire (my least fave of the series so far). The 9th day in #readthisdecember is first kiss. 😘 The one that stood out to me is Jaenelle and Daemon from the Black Jewels by Anne Bishop. Their first kiss is when she was 12 and she had a crush on an 1500 or so Daemon, which was her Winsol (their Christmas) gift to him. ( No worries, he didn't like her that way cuz she was a baby) But I prefer in Queen of the Darkness, when the two of them are trying how to figure out how to be together, and she didn't realize that as queen she had to kiss him so they could be romantically together. They were both nervous and she needed someone to teach her how to do it. As I said, I'm catching up on #readthisdecember and day 7 was Clumsy Reindeer or hate to love, and I'm showing what I have for my Cassandra Clare collection. I'm trying to catch up after not reading any of them for a long time. I'm still on Mortal Instruments book 4, City of Fallen Angels, because I don't want to read my nice paperback. I loved the first 3, got tired of it, and now I'm trying to catch up and get all the collector's editions for everything, which I'm failing at. Okay I fell behind so expect another flood of #readthisdecember posts! Day 6 was Candy Canes. So I made a book one! Yeah, I've only read 5 of these books, but I love the ones I've read. As for candy canes I don't eat them anymore. I prefer the pillow mint thingies from See's Candy.
