Repost from @read_tmc - 🎉API CELEBRASIAN/ ASIAN READATHON WRAP-UP🎉 . I’m excited to post my first monthly wrap-up! I don’t think it will be a regular occurrence, but I’m excited to share the API books I read for #APICelebrAsian! . I’m still reading THIS IS PARADISE, but I loved the first short story! Plus, I made my selections with the #asianreadathon challenge in mind and tried to read about different API ethnicities (ok, I read 2 books by Filipinx American authors): ✅Read any book by an Asian author ✅Read a graphic novel featuring an Asian character or written/drawn by an Asian author - PASHMINA ✅Read a book featuring an intersectional Asian character or written by an intersectional Asian identity (i.e. queer, mixed, disabled, neurodiverse, etc).- THE ASTONISHING COLOR OF AFTER and THE KISS QUOTIENT ✅Read a book by Asian author that was originally written in their native language - CONVENIENCE STORE WOMAN ✅Read the group book: A THOUSAND BEGINNINGS AND ENDINGS - read back in March. . My favorite read was The Body Papers. It’s hard to duplicate the experience I had with that book. May’s reads ran the gamut: sad, steamy, thought-provoking and tummy grumbling. Overall, a great reading month! . #readtmc #maywrapup https://www.instagram.com/p/ByTyl3DBGm8/?igshid=waudftks2mor
