the one decision I am glad I acted upon is to get this bicycle before summer ends. It needs a bit of work but I love being able to wander around on it and go to places I otherwise would not be able to.
Also I almost cried at my presentation today. I am probably starting my periods soon and the text was so horribly sad.
I created a blog, ADHD Articles, where I will post articles I find on ADHD studies. I want to keep this blog more for the communities introspection on what works and doesn't work, and I want to capture articles for others to read. Plus, I want to respond to those articles.
Do you see the white salad leaf looking parts around the solid gray part (which will eventually become a nose shaped mask)? These white parts are meant to provide a support surface for the Gray parts that otherwise would have been printed in the air and fallen to the ground due to the effects of gravity. These support parts have been created using topology optimization, the algorithmic process used in all kinds industrial manufacturing to optimize mechanical parts through material reduction. The computer simulates mechanical stresses, as gravity in this instance, that the part will be subjected to during regular function, and removes materiel where it is no needed, reducing material waste and strengthening the part at the same time. Interestingly this attempt at hyperrational analysis produces unpredictable and organic looking forms that would not seem out of place as a part of a science fiction movie set. It is almost as if the irrational nature of of our societys belief rationality becomes apparent in its coral reef folds and bulbous outgrowths.
