A slight change in position changes your entire perspective, and tells a completely different story.⠀⠀ __⠀⠀ It’s amazing how a small shift can change your view. Because I am more of a documentary style photographer, I don’t ask the people in my photos to move or change positions. If I feel like something isn’t quite working, I move.⠀⠀ __⠀⠀ It’s a pretty great metaphor for life in general. And sometimes, I need to wait patiently for a special moment to unfold before I’m ready to push the shutter. When I was 13 years old I attended a conference with my mom, The Healthy Life Expo in Orange County. My mother was speaking at the event and I was helping her pass out flyers for her psychology seminar on pattern change programing. Forgiveness is not the easy choice. It never is. ⠀⠀ __⠀⠀ For way too long, it was easier for me to be angry, but I couldn’t imagine living the rest of my life with this dark, bitter spot in my heart. The process of forgiving her was the hardest thing I’ve done in my life, and looking back, the only regret I have is that I didn’t do it sooner.⠀⠀ __⠀⠀ Maybe you are in the place today where you haven’t let go of the debt someone owes you for the pain they caused. Maybe you, like me, have morphed that person into your enemy. To you, I say, you deserve to be free. Forgiveness is freedom, and you don’t have to carry this burden any longer.⠀⠀ __⠀⠀ Forgiveness is for you, not someone else. Don’t assume that because a woman is loud and outgoing that she is an unfair partner.
