Why do the fae steal/"need" humans? I am curious about this for real life folklore but also The Folk of the Air lore.
I could Google this, yes, but I am asking here because I really enjoy just talking with people

Another day of wishing that common knowledge didn't situate the word 'folklore' as synonymous with 'folktales'
Like folktales are cool don't get me wrong. And it's a part of folklore, sure, but less in a 'squares are rectangles' way and more in a 'blue is a color' way
The two wolves inside me are the aspiring author and the amateur folklorist and I swear both of them both love and hate tumblr/fandom culture sometimes
