I believe that the ever-consuming rise of extreme-not-actually-christen-yet-masquerading-as-christen puritan-levels of censorship of anything remotely "naughty" and or "rude" is actually very very bad and should be stopped and that people should be allowed to be themselves and free to express themselves through their body and art and things deemed "NSFW" even if they really aren't.
I also believe in the idea of parents allowing their children freedom whilst also believing in the idea that they would do a good enough job as parents to help their children understand that there are certain subcultures of ideas and communities that they shouldn't be entering before they fully understand what they're getting into. However this requires parents to not only parent their children without being controlling but it also requires them to have an open and positive outlook on sex and ideas seen as "unnatural" by many due to eras no-longer around.
The ever rising amount of shunning of open communication is what leads to unhealthy relationships both non-sexually and sexually as partners will feel like it is "wrong" to talk about what they want if they perceive that what they want is shunned as being a "deviant."
The idea of classifying groups of people as "wrong" because of ONE act out of many that they may enjoy doing or the idea of is absurd and wrong at a core level.
during my sexual health module at school, consent was brought up a lot, which is good because its the most important part of anything and everything in general, not just sex. however, I would have thought that it would have been important to mention and instil the idea of talking to a partner (or partners) about what you feel comfortable with and what are hard no's. as this would not only help continue the idea of clear communication and consent checks but it would also promote being open and honest with your partner(s) which is fundamental to allowing everyone involved to have a good and fun time, which is (to my understanding) the base idea behind sexual activity in the modern day and age now that we're not JUST making babies.
also, bodies are not sexual in nature. if your first thought upon seeing someone shirtless is "WOWZA!! AWOOGA!!!" and not something along the lines of "huh. that person is comfortable in their own body. good for them." or just nothing in particular about the fact they have their top uncovered, i think that says more about you AND the fact that the idea of "all bodies are sexual." has been ingrained into peoples minds even though its not true. i walk around my house shirtless all the time and don't feel shame for it.
