Walking San Francisco & Thinking Out Loud At 7:45 am this morning it was cloudy/foggy and I didn't get a sunrise in Alameda. Even worse, I couldn't see San Francisco from either Alameda or Grizzly Peak in the Oakland Hills. When I took the exit off the Bay Bridge to Treasure Island I drove over to Avenue of the Palms and parked next to the dog park. I walked up by the breakwater rocks on the west side of Treasure Island to take this picture when the sky turned blue in a big patch over Yerba Buena Island to the southeast behind me and to my left. That opened up a spotlight of morning sunlight that was shining through the clouds and mist and lighting up the top floors of the highrises (top half of the Salesforce Tower). The Salesforce Tower and 181 Fremont are the "Biggie's" of the East Cut Neighborhood, the fastest growing and least known neighborhood in San Francisco. The background is fog over the city. ..
