Climb a Little Higher
@realgeorgipopovich
Emil felt the sun gently tickling his nose. Everything was strangely quiet. He opened his eyes.
Everything was blurry at first, he was confused and not really sure where he was. He blinked a few times for his eyes to get used to everything. Whew, what was going on there? Everything was blurred into one shade of gray around him. The air was strangely humid when he took a breath in. His head hurt, but he was slowly coming to himself.
He moved his hands around, only to feel the cold surface of a rock under and around him. And as much as he tried to move his body, he couldn’t. He wiggled his fingers and his toes, they all seemed to work, that was good, but... Oh no...!
He finally realized, he went climbing! Right! He finally remembered leaving the camp in the morning and finally heading to the rock he’d wanted to climb for so long! But now... he was stuck down inside a big cranny in the rock. He moved his hands around again, trying to find the belaying, but every rope he blindly touched felt loose, not attached to anything but his body. Oh god... He must’ve fallen!
He quickly reached up to his head. Right! He had a camera on! He was live streaming, people are watching, they- The camera was gone. Emil took a deep breath, he wasn’t panicking, there will be a way out of this, there must be... Well, there was only one thing left to do.
“HELLO?! HELP! I’M STUCK DOWN HERE!!!” he yelld from the bottom of his lungs.
