hii ! i just recently found your account and i absolutely love it 💓 i have an acting dr too (it’s my main dr at the moment :D) and i rarely see any shifters actually talk about theirs, is there any chance you could kinda talk about how yours works and the industry in your dr as a sort of motivation thing?? i just get so motivated when i read about other shifter’s acting / fame drs haha, i hope this isn’t a weird thing to ask 😭 have a nice day!!!

Hi!! No it’s not weird at all!! I’m so glad you like my account, that’s very sweet 😭 Sorry it took me a minute to answer, I had to figure out how to best explain it haha

I changed quite a bit about how the industry works in my dr, mostly because I wanted to be able to work on an amount of projects that’s just unreasonable in my cr skskgjsjfks I could have just made another fame dr but I really wanted to fit it all in one, so I had to rework it

Firstly, I added three months to the year so each year has 15 months now, but people still age the same amount in a year as they do here. I also made it so that tv shows film any time of the year except a break around the holidays, which is sorta similar to things now with streaming but network shows all start at about the same time (in the fall) here

I also wanted it to be considered a bit normal for someone to work on multiple shows at once, which isn’t often the case here. I want to be famous but honestly I don’t want to be some huge outlier, so I wanted it to be a little more normalized

With all of that, I decided that tv show seasons are gonna come out like every year to two years, with the two year gap also being normalized and accepted. As a viewer in my cr I hate how tv shows aren’t coming out yearly anymore but I have to have it that way in my dr if I want to be in multiple shows at once 😅

I do want tv shows to have a bit more episodes per season though, maybe like 15 eps being normal, and less shows cancelled after only one or two seasons. As a viewer I really love longer shows, and I think as a creative person I like it too because you get to do more with the characters

We have a trend here of shows with queer (especially wlw) or poc representation being cancelled really fast, and I wanted to change that in my dr but I decided that the queer rep is going to start getting better as I’m in the industry instead of being better from the jump. The reason for that is because I have a lot of like.. negative experiences?? (I don’t wanna say trauma because that seems dramatic) with this and I don’t want that to be negated. I want to be able to see it get better and be part of that change while also not having my emotions and fears and hesitancies be basically invalid in that reality, if that makes any sense lol
