But all just rumors, filled people with dread

Satanic Panic, popular thing back then.

But nobody knows the killer from when.

And so for now, rumors spew like a fountain.

And this poor girl was simply known,

as the Girl on the Mountain

“I Saw the TV Glow” is a masterpiece bc it is about everything on the modern experience - and yet hits upon the feelings of each individual experience so well that everyone assumes it’s about THEIR thing. And it is! It ABSOLUTELY is. That’s why it’s a masterpiece.

As always, I instantly noted the lighting and coloring choices and found them to be genius.

It is not a movie For everyone. It is a ‘dog whistle’ for every form of modern outcast though: obviously your queer crowd, trans folks, non-white - etc. But also the ‘witch/Wicca’ crowd, the self shippers, other kin, etc. Basically, if you were ever disliked in K-12, there’s a story here for you.

What do I think the message is REALLY? Like what is it REALLY about?

The same thing I think all masterpieces are about: allowing yourself to seem crazy.

hey y’all, i know i’ve not been so active but! i’ve come to a realisation over the past week that i wanted to get out there asap.

after a lot of introspection and research, i’ve come to the realisation that i am not cisgender. i don’t have a label that feels 100% comfortable yet but i’m tentatively using bigender because i feel that i’m both male and female. because of this i’m still mostly happy with female pronouns but would massively appreciate it if you also used male pronouns when referring to me! i necessarily don’t mind being called a woman/girl/any other female term as long as you also recognise that i’m Not Just Female. but for now, as i’m just starting the process of socially transitioning, i think i’d prefer you used male terms as they currently feel more affirming.
