Gods it’s still been a solid show, but without Rick or Carl everything’s just felt completely pointless to me but damn that spike scene was better than I thought it would have been. I found out about it years ago cause of the comics so I can only imagine not knowing it’s coming.
Also on one hand yay no more Henry hahah. The only thing I’ve liked about him being in the show is his relationship with Carol after the timeskip, and even then only from her side of it. But yeah that moment with Daryl and then the next shot of them all standing there... Just wow. Also first time I’ve ever cared when Siddiq was on screen, dude’s acting was incredible as they found him. And his speech afterwards was great too. It is comforting to know they went out fighting.
But yeah first time since Rick died that things don’t feel pointless, hopefully that carries over with the next season. (I definitely think I’d care a lot more about this one if I marathoned the show again) Also damn, good on them for not making that the finale, because it’s definitely the thing I’d think they’d end it on. Although I still haven’t read the comics so maybe something even better to end on happens next.
