this post reminded me to share my own little yuri and potya drawing✨

#fan art#my art.#yuri!!! on ice#puma tiger scorpion#yuri plisetsky#yuri on ice#yoi#yurio plisetsky#←i don't like that nickname but sure it's a tag#potya#ok here's a bit of metaing:#(hidden in the tags)#it takes time for yuri to comprehend the meaning of unconditional love and to associate it with someone (his grandfather)#he thinks he doesn't believe it. to yuri it feels almost unnatural or at least he acts like it#now for a teen to have that mindset he must've gone through some stuff previously#which we don't know of but with the absence of his parents ever since he was a little kid we can imagine things#also from how quickly he gets attached to otabek and how he reacts to otabek not letting him tag along when he's going to the club in the-#wttm manga we can also figure out he has abandonment/attachment issues#(he also overreacts to viktor forgetting his promise and fucking off to japan (comma) leaving him behind so that can be shown as an example#too)#which also doesn't happen out of nowhere but i digress we don't know much about yuri's past that's up to our headcanons#with those being said#it's not surprising that he loves cats and probably animals in general#because pets are loyal and predictable and they do love you unconditionally#they're easier to understand and trust for a person like yuri#he's lonely and distrustful and he doesn't like approaching to people#potya must be really important for him#really precious#that cat is something that's stable in his life#something that's not going to leave him or stop loving him or stop wanting affection from him
