“wow, that might be the most you’ve ever said to me.” nate’s tone was nearly emotionless as he turned from getting a drink to meet the other man’s gaze. “what i do isn’t really your concern. i’m fine with what i do if you have to know.” once he got what he needed, nate leaned against the counter with drink in hand before saying, “what i’d like to know is why you waited for all these years to show up & act like you care about your family.”

David chuckles as he looks at his son with a smirk on his face “Well, at least I know that you got something from me at least, you’re sass. I happen to have been around all this time, I just didn’t come and see you. The fact that I had to keep the company running was what all my time was invested in.” He shakes his head and then leans forward in his chair, with his elbows on his knees “As for the pretending well I don’t do that and the older I’ve gotten the more I learned that the damn company isn’t coming with me when I die.”

he was just saying goodbye to gabriel before leaving the man’s apartment when, much to nate’s irritation, the last person he wanted to see was right there on the sidewalk. thankfully gabriel wasn’t outside because nate didn’t want this to become a bigger problem than it already would be. “so now you’re stalking my boyfriend?” nate sighed, hoping this wouldn’t last too long. then again, he did get caught kissing the other man { judging from david’s words }, so it might be a while before nate could get on with his evening. “i swear if you don’t leave us alone, i’m getting the cops involved, you asshole.”

“I’ll find something on him that he hasn’t told you and then you’ll know that being with him is one of the worst decisions of your life. He’s not good enough for you or this family and I will not allow this relationship to go on any longer.” David looks at him with a nasty little smile and then points to gabriel’s apartment “You’re never going to be happy with him and do you know why, because he can’t give you the family that a woman can and the publicity that this is going to get your sister when the tabloids find out about this is going to ruin her and as for the police bring them on, it’s not like they can do anything to me as long as I haven’t harmed him”

“I got rid of a man that was trying to kill you and as you are related to Nate you should thank him for the extra protection. I would have just let him take your life but it appears that Nate has some little feeling for you and being his mentor I did not want to let him down by letting you die.” He shakes his head and then cocks an eyebrow at the woman “I would have thought that you would be happy that the problem had been solved before it became a problem.”

“Sleep is something fake created by the government so I won’t be doing it.”

Lucifer looks at his daughter and then rolls his eyes “You know that when you pass out from lack of sleep I’m just going to let you lay on the floor right?” He shakes his head I have magic that makes you go to sleep and I am not afraid to use it daughter mine so think of that the next time that you don’t want to sleep.” Lucifer then smiles softly at her “What has you thinking like this anyway? You never complained about having to sleep before now.”

“There are times when certain parts of my body do not agree with each other but I do know one thing and that is that I’m no good for you. I’m not even good for me but that’s not going to stop me from doing this.” Natasha leans in and gives Jocelyn a deep and hungry kiss, which after a few minutes she breaks so that they can both breath “I may not be any good for you but damn it I want you anyway.”

eyes met the gaze of the man whose features matched his own with a confused look on his features. the man named lucifer was clearly a lot different than anyone else in the realm & perhaps even a bit intriguing because of his persona. but what he said wasn’t something that nate could agree with. “i don’t think i would ever find it entertaining to watch someone suffer. i would want to help people if they were in pain.”

“ahh, I come from a place were suffering takes place everyday and there is a good reason for it if you think about all the people who do bad things when they are alive.” Lucifer looks at him and then chuckles “Would you want to help murderers and rapist and other of their type? In my realm all these people are sent to me to experience as much pain as they have caused in life. My kingdom is under the ground and is nothing but a huge pit of fire but it’s home.” He cocks an eyebrow at the boy “I have doubts that even your sister would help the people that I get down in my kingdom and from what I’ve heard that’s saying something.”
