I got this ask back in 2012 and I was going through the archive I realized my answer to this was nonsensical. It’s stuck with me in the few days since I’ve seen it, so I’m going to re/properly answer it now.
I’ll start by saying I think I see where the anon is coming from, however that doesn’t change the fact that being diagnosed is a privilege. Plain and simple, no wiggle room. If you have any kind of access to any type of medical care, it’s a privilege.
That’s all there is to say about it honestly. But I wanted to clear it up.
