@reaperdachi is making poor life choices again. Any of the Investigation Team would have been welcome in the Moving House, welcome to see Souji's fragmented and constantly-shifting image of "home". Hell, Adachi didn't even get the usual minor Shadows as greeting, but there was one golden-eyed figure waiting for him, through a maze of kitchens that ended in one resembling the Dojima household far too much for comfort, almost perfectly and lovingly re-created, down to the coffee mugs. And the kitchen knives. Souji's Shadow had a large one in hand as he popped up behind Adachi, grabbing for an arm with his free hand to twist it, behind the detective's back, the knife held over an artery with disturbing precision. "You know, I should really thank you. Without you and what you did, I wouldn't have let Chie and Yosuke be friends with me... I would have just let them act how they pleased, and kept myself locked away inside. So, thank you."

While he doesn’t normally form close bonds with people and is used to being solo, Adachi is actually quite afraid of dying alone. Not dying per say, but dying knowing no one will miss him, that no one would care. Even now, given circumstances, he’s afraid that Dojima and Nanako will forget about him(And Yu/Souji if you go that route) and leave him empty. This kind of emptiness is the only one he can’t stand. He doesn’t want to lose the only people he has formed a bond with and live with that hole.
