will we have to purchase abilities or species to be able to play them? and when will the discord become available? i'm so excited for this place!

You won’t have to pay for abilities or species, no! Additionally, there currently aren’t limits in regards to them. In terms of purchases, we only believe that those should be things you don’t necessarily need to enjoy the site - fun badges, custom content from the staff (like oneshots, posting templates, moodboards, etc created for you/one of your characters/one of your ships!), custom discord name colors, custom in character forums to post in, etc. (And, on that front, if there’s anything you want to see offered in the shop, we’re happy to consider adding it in!)

As for the Discord, we should be getting the link out to that this weekend for soft-open and ready to open officially right on schedule for March 1st!
