Cole arrived at the precinct and walked up to one of his fellow detectives. He inquired after a particular officer, asking if she was here, where she could be found and so on. Cole was told that she would most likely be having a coffee break with some of the other officers in the break room. Uttering a quick thanks Cole made his way to the break room. He knew he had met this officer before, but couldn’t place a name to the face. This meant that upon entering the room his eyes had to scan along their badges quickly to find the person he was looking for. Cole was in luck. The officer he sort after was indeed here with the others. “Officer Flores.” He said, looking her in the eye. “If I could have a word in private, please.”
