Smoker after the first seeing Lucky post-time skip:

He’s floored and the only reason he didn’t blow his cover as a yandere is cause he GENUINELY just stopped functioning. He just stood there in shock cause “it was NOT this bad before what the fuck happened??” And Lucky got away.

It genuinely takes the wind out of him. Before the timeskip, he was very much in denial about how down bad he was. He's just concerned that she's an innocent civilian being mixed up with pirates, that's definitely it! And, well, he'll also have to keep her under his care afterwards because of how dangerous the Straw Hats are. Now, though? It's impossible to deny how badly he wants her for himself and how little it really has to do with "saving" her.

I may as well talk about how the other pre-timeskip suitors handle the change.

Buggy's brain straight up short circuits. The increased affection fries his brain so hard that he fully forgets that they never actually got married, and he starts referring to Lucky as his wife. That must be why he suddenly feels so much stronger about her! They're in their honeymoon phase!

Kaku was already head over heels for her before, now it's borderline suffocating. He can't think about anything that isn't her and their future together. The once mostly innocent love letters he would send become notably more unhinged. He goes into great detail about how he envisions their lives together as a couple, what their home will look like when he can finally make it so they aren't being pursued, and of course he has to talk about what names he loves most for their future children and how he'd like to decorate the nursery.

Paulie wants to kick his own ass for how hard he's ogling Lucky post-timeskip. For once, he looks at a woman, feels a certain way about, and then asks if he's the problem. It's one thing to have the hots for someone but this feels ridiculous! The shame turns to an overprotective panic as it dawns on him that if he feels this way, others must, too. He's now all the more determined to hide her away from everyone else in the world.

Iceburg has lost all subtlety. The letters they were exchanging before had a sort of tongue-in-cheek playful banter going on, but now it's much more direct. No more 'it sure would be nice to have you here', now it's 'you are going to come back to Water 7 pack your bags already'. The occasional gifts he would send grow into a constant stream. He becomes much more encouraging of Paulie to go get her. Granted, getting her away from Paulie will be its own struggle, but he'll cross that bridge when he gets to it.

Law is taking it very much the same as Smoker, except he goes as far as to take out his own heart to examine it because what the fuck is happening to it right now? He already had a budding fondness, but now all he can think about is locking her in the Polar Tang and throwing away the key.

Kid feels like he got hit by a god damn cannon. At first, his desire to keep her around was based more on possessiveness than anything else, but after seeing her again post-timeskip, he has this instant realization of 'oh no, I LOVE her'. He won't vocalize this, but there is now a noticeable effort on his part to genuinely win her over rather than just keep her against her will.

I’m back on my “Lucky and her slang” bullshit cause I think it’s hilarious.

Imagine some of her Yandere’s asking Lucky what Smoker has that they don’t and instead of giving them a serious answer she just replies with: “He’s got that type of rizz you guys could only wish to have!”

And it just spirals into all of them trying to figure out what the fuck “rizz” is and how they can acquire it. Shes got yanderes being like:

“How do I get it??? Is it like a type of haki???”

“Do you purchase it?? Where do I buy it???”

“You said type does that mean rizz comes in different styles or colours??? What type is the one you like???”

“Is it something you make?”

“Is it something your born with?”

She has thoroughly confused them all and she’s having the time of her life! Smoker is getting bombarded with letters/calls asking “what the fuck rizz is” and he’s just as confused as all of them but tells each and every one of them the wrong thing so they all fail spectacularly!

Modern slang can be really hard to explain to everyone thanks to them not having ANY cultural context, so Lucky only bothers trying to explain it to the Straw Hats. Everyone else is left to guess what the hell anything she says means.

It's not until after she catches wind of Smoker giving them wrong answers that she realizes the missed opportunity. Now she's having a field day getting all of her yanderes to make fools of themselves by lying through her teeth about what her words really mean.

I feel like Cracker is such a forgotten Lucky Yandere and I find it funny to take that and apply it to the story too. Like Cracker is this super arrogant character that gets offended when Luffy doesn’t know who he is so imagine if the girl he’s been PINING over doesn’t remember him? Like they were literally at the alter about to be married? It’s so funny to me.

Like imagine he comes to kidnap Lucky and it’s like:

Cracker: “Lucky! I, as your fiancé, have come to save you so we can get married!l

Lucky, who genuinely doesn’t remember him: “Who are you?”

Cracker, a bit embarrassed: “It’s me… your fiancé… oh you’re probably confused cause u got my biscuit armour on!” *takes it off* “Here! Much better!”

Lucky, still confused: “ya I got no idea… imma need more details than this… you know how many people come up to me a day claiming to be my Fiancé?”

Cracker, genuinely hurt cause he thought the bond was deeper than that: “You know… big mom’s kid?”

Lucky: “ya isn’t there like 100 of you guys… narrow it down even further…”

Cracker, about to cry but too arrogant to do it: “One of the three sweet commanders…”

Lucky, who’s just started guessing: “Smoothie? Wait no she was a girl… Katakuri? No, no, no he was taller and had that scarf… Oven?”

Cracker, about to flip his lid cause only two of them were actually sweet commanders: “NO!”

Lucky, still thinking: “… is it Biscuit?”

Cracker: “NO IM CRACKER THERE ISN’T EVEN A BISCUIT IN THE FAMILY!”

Lucky: “oh well I was close!”

He didn’t mange to get Lucky that day and later stomped up to his room and slam the door when he got home. Loud crying was heard inside from.

I swear I'm not trying to ignore him as one of the yanderes, I just really haven't seen much of him so I have very little to say on him.

All joking aside, I feel like he would be at least a little memorable to her. Every time she pisses off one of the Vinsmokes (because if Sanji won't give them hell, she will), she immediately plays victim and goes crying to Cracker that they're being mean to her for "no reason". Cracker gets to feel like a tough guy defending his soon-to-be-wife, and Lucky is shooting the Vinsmokes the most shit eating grin she can muster.

I would like to propose what I’d call, the Armageddon time line where the news accidentally reported Lucky as dead.

Like there was some mix up in the news room where someone with a similar sounding name/allies got killed and a miscommunication happened (Yucky Luck or something rip to him his death got over shadowed) or there was like a big Straw Hat battle and it looked like Lucky got killed.

Could you imagine the horrors?? There’s shrines going up rapidly in her honour! A man hunt for the person/crew that killed her (they got the biggest bounty ever)! We got Yonko’s and Yonko children teaming up (Cracker and Shanks)! Kid is about to put aside his beef with Shanks for a minute (unheard of)! It’s a MESS and the world has never seen such pirate unity?!? Everyone is terrified Yanderes are teaming up to deal with the bitch that did this!!! (Smokers in the pirate crowd with a very good disguise on and everyone’s to confused to question it! Like what is happening??)

Then a few days later a report comes out about “False alarm!!! Lucky spotted alive and healthy!!! There isn’t even a scratch on her!!!” *photo of Lucky Laughing with the crew* There is a couple scraps and bruises but they gotta defuse this problem as fast as possible emotions are heightened. The world was on fire for a couple of days.

The world government is seriously debating whether having a bounty on Lucky is a good or bad thing. They might even change her poster to say “Please only bring her in alive for the love of GOD!”

RIP to whoever got blamed, they're about to suffer a thousand deaths

I'm imagining that after the battle, whoever the Straw Hats helped approaches them like 'hey there's this remote island over here with a resort built on it, y'all should come over and recuperate' and no one argues because it sounds nice. What's the worst that could happen?

While everyone is have a lovely time, the rest of the world looks like a war zone. Pirates are killing each other, memorials are going up, it's complete chaos.

A marine fleeing from the destruction is passing by the island and spots Lucky sunbathing on the shore without a care in the world. They scramble to get photographic evidence and to get to the nearest publisher in hopes of ending the bloodshed.

It does work, but the whole thing has a severe consequence for Lucky. Now that her suitors have experienced what it would feel like to lose her forever, they're more desperate than ever to have her in their clutches where they can keep her safe and alive.

Lucky will never know a moment of peace ever again and wants to throttle whoever made the false report.

The world government is terrified but intrigued by the level of influence this one random woman somehow has. They do conclude that her bounty poster should be changed to alive only. They don't want to be targeted because they motivated a bounty hunter to kill her

I like to imagine that Barto uses really childish tricks to try and get Lucky to marry him. Like his ways are just so childish that they never really register in her head as “yandereness” he’s just joking around!

Like Barto would walk up to Lucky as try to trick her into agreeing to marrying him by bombarding her with yes questions ya know?

“Lucky do you want some money?”

“Yes!”

“Do you also want some ice cream?”

“Yes!”

“Do you like cats?”

“Yes!”

“Do you wanna marry me?”

Lucky’s who’s trained herself to always say no without missing a beat cause her yanderes feed of hesitation: “No. But nice try! You could have really gotten Luffy with that one!”

Barto, actally surprised his master plan failed:

He’s also tried the method where you pass someone a note saying “will you go out of me note? Circle your answer.” And just change the “yes or no” portion to “yes or YES! (let’s just skip dating and get married!)” That one also didn’t work and he’s losing it and is running out of ideas.

I could 100% see this happening. These are completely serious attempts on his part but Lucky is just laughing because oh wow Barto you're so funny! That was a good one you really had her going for a second there!

Lucky might start to think he has a crush on her after seeing the honest to God sulking he does after these fail, but even then it doesn't register as yandere. It's just an innocent normal crush. Definitely.

Lucky having an outta body experience cause she almost forgot what her full name sounded like:

She’s on the verge of tears but Kid’s having the greatest day ever he finally found her!!! (He also feels like he’s got special privileges/connection to Lucky cause he knows her full name and it was him and his crew that found her bag he’s in his delulu era)

Lucky is scrambling to figure out how he knows her entire legal name, then there's Luffy who does know her first name but is confused about who (m/n) and (l/n) are supposed to be. There's no one else here, who is this weirdo yelling at?

I do want to quickly amend a little plot hole I noticed in my last post about Kid. I forgot that Lucky would have a bounty poster by then (gets one after Enies Lobby with everyone else), so he would already be aware of her and actively tracking down the Straw Hats at that point. The different names are a little odd, but maybe she's using an alias or whatever? The first interaction still goes the same, it's just no longer a coincidence that they ran into each other.

He would think he's special for knowing her real name, but he'd be willing to switch to calling her Lucky after she complains about it enough. Or in the Strays AU he would call her that sooner because it would be less confusing since there are three people with the same name.

Some of the fan girls of water 7 got wind of Iceburg having a “crush” (as they called it) on Lucky and started shipping them together. Well what do teen girls do when they ship things? They start writing fanfic (that gets self published SOMEHOW, no one knows who lets it go to print) about Lucky x Iceburg.

It ranges from a collections of one shots, blurbs and mini series to full fledged series. Iceburg catches wind of this and reads ALL of them in his bed at like 2 o’clock in the morning while giggling to himself and kicking his feet. He really likes the hurt/comfort ones where Lucky leaves with the Straw Hats but then after a couple of days/weeks “realizes that Iceburg is gonna be the one that got away if I don’t get back!” And rushes back to him to be his assistant. (He likes those ones the most cause he wants it to happen Irl)

(Spoiler alert Iceburg is the one that manages to anonymously get them to print)

You know these fangirls are going to be sending Lucky letters all but begging her to get with Iceburg (and including a fanfic as support for their argument as to why he is OBVIOUSLY the best choice). Lucky is mortified and wants to go into hiding, why the hell is she in the crosshairs of a ship war??

As this goes on, discourse starts to happen in the form of "anonymous" writers publishing their own stories where Lucky ends up with someone else. Lucky knows full well that these one-shots are being written by her suitors and is screaming. Iceburg is able to fly under the radar because she assumes all of the ones about them are written by a gaggle of teenagers in Water 7.

Smoker is trying to get evidence on who all of these publishers/authors are so he can do an exposé.

Until then, Iceburg is going to be indulging in this week's coffee shop au fic
