I plan to use this myself sometime in the distant future, but am curious what others might make of it: Harry is sitting in terror on Halloween '94 as the names soar from the Goblet, the day had gone perfectly so the Goblet was the only remaining way for fate to screw with him. As the fourth name is shot from the Goblet, Harry hits it with an Incendio before anyone can see the name. With no way to prove who was on the parchment, they force Harry to compete. Harry rebels. Hermione helps.
